'Meaningful Banking' goes on. (L-R) Metrobank Foundation President Aniceto Sobrepeña, Metrobank Vice Chairman Francisco Sebastian, Metrobank Chairman Arthur Ty, and Metrobank President Fabian Dee are all smiles as they removed their masks momentarily while safely distancing for a photo op at the recent Metrobank Service Awards, a hybrid event broadcasted live in Facebook Workplace.

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic and the ensuing physical distancing rules, Metrobank recently recognized its most outstanding Metrobankers via an online ceremony. Around 2,000 Metrobankers tuned in live, while the other 12,000 watched the recording.

Metrobank President Fabian Dee emphasized in a speech that Metrobankers have the same drive capability to provide Meaningful Banking service even in the face of the pandemic. “We recognize the difficult times ahead but we are confident that with the collective passion and commitment of Metrobankers, plus the wisdom and experiences we have gained for over fifty-eight years, Metrobank is best positioned to face this pandemic,” he said. “We will continue to keep our customers in good hands and deliver the meaningful banking that is most relevant to the needs of the times,” he concluded.

Part of the bank’s anniversary activities, the Metrobank Service Awards is an annual ceremony that recognizes the bank’s top-performing and loyal employees.
