Convert your transactions at 2025 The Metrobank Travel Fair Online to installment at 1.00% for 3 to 9 months or 0.48% for 12 to 60 months, for a minimum single-receipt spend of PHP 6,000, valid for pre-selected cardholders only.
Preselected existing principal cardholders (“Card Member”) for at least six (6) months and in good credit standing* may apply to convert their 2025 The Metrobank Travel Fair Online purchases to installments. Preselected cardholders should have received an SMS/Viber message about the 0.48% Balance Conversion offer.
Only select Metrobank credit cardholders who purchased from the participating merchants during the 2025 The Metrobank Travel Fair Online are allowed to avail of the special balance conversion rates.
Balance Conversion application is from July 1 to 15, 2025 only.
How to avail:
a) Purchase at 2025 The Metrobank Travel Fair Online via straight payment.
b) Visit the 2025 The Metrobank Travel Fair Online Giftaway website for registration. Go to “BalCon” section. Section is only visible to pre-selected qualified cardholders.
c) Fill-out the required details for the BalCon transaction including qualified transaction amount , qualified merchant included in the 2025 The Metrobank Travel Fair Online, last 6 digits of credit card, and tenor (months) of balance conversion being availed.
d) Agree to terms and conditions as shown in the website and submit application.
e) Balance conversion of qualified transaction will be reviewed and is subject to validation.
f) Await for confirmation of BalCon application.
The transaction will initially be charged to the Card Member’s credit card as a straight transaction. The straight transaction will be converted to installment within fifteen (15) calendar days after the transaction date, subject to the following:
Statement of Account: If the transaction is converted before the Card Member’s cut-off date, the installment transaction will be reflected in the Card Member’s Statement of Account (SOA).
Statement of Account: If the transaction is converted after the Card Member’s cut-off date, the installment transaction will be reflected in the succeeding Statement of Account (SOA) and the Card Member’s outstanding balance will be deducted by the amount equivalent to the transaction.
Minimum Amount Due: If the transaction is converted after the Card Member’s statement of account (SOA) cut-off date, the minimum amount due computation will include the full purchase amount made during the 2025 The Metrobank Travel Fair Online, plus Card Member’s other retail purchases.
If the Card Member decides to pay an amount less than the total amount due stated in the SOA, the full amount of 2025 The Metrobank Travel Fair Online transaction will be part of the Finance Charge computation that will be reflected in the Card Member’s succeeding cycle.
All installment items and corresponding installment terms are subject to the terms and conditions governing the issuance and use of Metrobank credit cards and all related provisions of the Metrobank credit card Balance Conversion installment program.
Metrobank reserves the right to disqualify a previously approved transaction that was cancelled or charged back within the promo period. Should the Card Member receive the offer, but was later on deemed unqualified for not meeting the requirements due to disputes arising from, but not limited to, erroneous, invalid, fraudulent or unauthorized transactions, the cost of the offer shall be charged by Metrobank to the Card Member’s credit card account.
Any dispute concerning the products or services related to the promo and/or availed at 2025 The Metrobank Travel Fair Online, shall be settled directly between the Card Member and the merchant, with the concurrence of the DTI. Metrobank shall not be responsible for any liability in the event of such dispute.
The Balance Conversion (“Balcon”) application shall be subject to verification and credit approval by Metrobank.
Upon the date of authorization or approval by Metrobank of the Balcon amount, the Card Member’s availment of the Balcon Facility is deemed irrevocable and may not be cancelled.
Only the transaction amount that form part of a Card Member’s purchases made during 2025 The Metrobank Travel Fair Online on the Metrobank credit card at the time of application may be converted to installment.
Metrobank shall have the absolute and exclusive right to approve or reject all Balcon applications. In case of disapproval of a Balcon application, Metrobank is not required to notify the Card Member of such rejection and the reason thereof. Metrobank shall not be liable for delinquency of the Card Member’s credit card, or any interest or penalty charge imposed upon the Card Member as a result of the disapproval by Metrobank of his/her application.
A processing fee of P500 shall be charged for all approved applications. This amount will be reflected in the Card Member’s next statement of account.
The Card Member may call (02)88-700-919 (Metro Manila) or 1-800-1-888-5775 (Domestic Toll-Free) to inquire on the status of his/her application.
Once the Balcon application is approved, the principal amount and processing fee will be earmarked against the Card Member’s available credit limit. The applicable interest will only be deducted from Card Member’s available limit upon billing of monthly amortization.
The Card Member agrees to settle the monthly Balcon amortization due which shall be billed monthly through the SOA. The monthly Balcon Amortization shall be computed as the Total Amount Payable (Balcon Amount Approved and Interest) divided by the approved Term of payment. Successive monthly Balcon amortizations shall be billed to the Card Member in the succeeding SOAs until the Total Amount Payable is billed in full. Approved Balcon applications shall not be eligible for earning rewards points.
The monthly Balcon amortization shall form part of the Minimum Amount Due in the SOA. If the Card Member opts to pay only the Minimum Amount Due or any amount below the Total Amount Due, only a portion of the monthly Balcon amortization shall be considered paid. The unpaid portion of the monthly Balcon amortization shall be subject to the regular finance charges.
Balcon is not considered as payment. Customer must pay at least the Minimum Amount Due in the SOA to avoid incurring late charges.
Balcon will not impact auto debit arrangements (ADA). As such, if your credit card is enrolled in ADA, your bank account will be debited as scheduled and will incur finance charges on the first month if the post statement balance has not been fully paid or converted.
If the Card Member chooses to accelerate the installment contract with Metrobank, with or without advice, a pre-termination fee of P550 or 5% of the remaining principal balance, whichever is higher, shall be billed to the Card Member. Any remaining balance (i.e. remaining principal amount based on Diminishing Balance computation and/or penalties, interest and other charges) shall be billed in the next statement cycle together with the applicable interest charge. Unbilled interest for accelerated amortizations are forgone or will no longer be collected.
All other terms and conditions governing the issuance of Metrobank credit cards not inconsistent with the foregoing terms and conditions shall be incorporated hereto.
By availing of this installment conversion program, the Card Member confirms that he/she has read, understood and agreed to the promo mechanics and its terms and conditions.
