Promo Mechanics

I. Promo Period and Promo Offer

  1. The Metrobank x CBTL Activation Promo (“Promo”) is from November 1 to December 31, 2024, and is extended until January 31, 2025 (“Promo Period”), as approved by DTI-FTEB.

  2. The promo is open to select Metrobank Prime Debit and Prepaid Mastercard® cardholders whose mobile numbers are contactable and registered* with Metrobank.

    *To receive the communications and reward from this promo, the cardholder must ensure that the mobile number registered with the bank is updated and active. To be included in future Metrobank promotions and communications, cardholder needs to update his/her contact information by visiting any Metrobank branch or by following the instructions in this link: https://metrobank.com.ph/articles/update-your-info.

  3. To qualify, select cardholders must:

    a. Receive an official promo notification from Metrobank via SMS/Viber and/or email; and
    b. Purchase online or in-store for a single-receipt transaction of at least PHP 1,800 using their Metrobank Prime Debit or Prepaid Mastercard® card as payment method during the Purchase Period*.

  4. Qualified cardholders will be eligible to one (1) The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (CBTL) e-voucher (“Treats”) worth PHP 100.

  5. Cardholders with qualified transactions will receive an SMS notification** from Metrobank with the 9-digit Treats code and redemption details.

II. Redemption of Treats

  1. Once the SMS notification has been received from Metrobank, the cardholder may simply present the SMS with the Treats code to the participating CBTL store for verification.

  2. The cardholder must inform the store frontliner that s/he wants to claim Treats.

  3. Item/s purchased using Treats will only be released after the code has been verified by the store.

  4. If the purchase price exceeds the value of Treats, the excess amount will have to be paid by the cardholder.

Eligible Cards

The following cards are eligible for the promo.

Terms & Conditions

  1. Only cardholders who will receive an SMS/Viber and/or email from Metrobank about the promo will be eligible for the offer.

  2. The offer is valid for eligible cardholders who will meet the purchase requirement within the purchase period.

  3. Withdrawals, buy load, and other non-purchase transactions made through Metrobank ATM, Metrobank Online, and Metrobank App are excluded from the promo.

  4. The Treats code can only be redeemed once per qualified cardholder at any participating CBTL store nationwide.

  5. All unredeemed Treats from the promo will be forfeited after the Redemption Period***.

  6. Redemptions without the SMS notification and Treats code from Metrobank will not be honored.

  7. All cancelled orders by customers will not be valid for re-claiming of Treats codes.

  8. The Treats are transferable but non-convertible to cash or any other Metrobank product. Once the Treats codes have been provided by Metrobank, the responsibility of redemption and possible transfer will be passed unto the cardholder while the fulfillment will be the accountability of CBTL.

  9. The promo cannot be used in conjunction with other CBTL promotional offers that require a voucher/promo code.

  10. Metrobank is not an agent of CBTL and makes no representation as to the quality of the goods and services provided. All feedback regarding quality of the goods and services provided by CBTL should be directed to CBTL.

  11. Any amendment in the terms and conditions is subject to DTI approval. Cardholders will be notified of any change through the appropriate channels.

  12. The use of Metrobank Prime Debit and Prepaid Mastercard® cards in connection with this promo is subject to the Terms and Conditions governing the issuance and use of Metrobank Prime Debit and Prepaid Mastercard® cards.

  13. The following condition applies to the deposit account linked to the Metrobank Prime Debit Mastercard® card:
    Deposits are insured by the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) up to P500,000 per depositor.

  14. Metrobank is regulated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas https://www.bsp.gov.ph.
