Promo Mechanics

  • Registration: The principal cardholder will receive an SMS, Viber message or email blast containing the registration process at the start of the promo period. Once received, the principal cardholder must register by.

    a. Visiting metrobankcard.mymcc.gift
    b. Log-in your mobile number found in Metrobank’s database. c. In the Available Promos section, click “Spend N’ Discover” and enter mobile to register in the promo.
    d. A successful SMS will be sent to the cardholders’ mobile number after successful registration.

  • Qualified Transactions: Includes all airline or air carrier spend with the following merchant category and codes:

  • Redemption of the eGC:

    a. Visit metrobankcard.mymcc.gift
    b. Log-in your mobile number found in Metrobank’s database.
    c. In the Joined Promos section, click check progress under “Spend N’ Discover” tab and enter the registered mobile number.
    d. Click Claim, choose Universal eGC and click "Use This" button to get the code.

    Only the principal cardholder can access the self-help tracker which will be updated within 5 to 7 banking days after the transaction has been made.

  • Change in Mobile Number: If a cardholder changes and/or updates his or her mobile number after successful registration, it is the responsibility of the cardholder to inform Metrobank by calling our Metrobank Customer Service Hotline at (02) 88-700-700 that he or she changes and/or updates his or her mobile number and would like to register the new mobile number. The same applies for new cardholders that have activated their credit card for the first time within the promo period.

  • Computation of Accumulated Spend: Multiple Metrobank Credit Cards under the same customer number will be considered as one unique cardholder. Qualified and posted transaction/s made by supplementary cardholder/s and/or other Metobank Credit Card/s (if any) which share the same customer number will be combined in computing the total minimum accumulated spend. A cardholder will only qualify for one (1) incentive throughout the promo period regardless if the accumulated spend exceeds the spend tier.

  • Availability of the Self-Help Tracker: Metrobank under MCC sender will send the eGC SMS notification for the qualified transaction starting May 2, 2023 and will be updated within 5 to 7 banking days after the transaction has been posted in the Metrobank system. A registered cardholder will also have an option to view the eGC by visiting the link stated in the redemption of eGC.

  • Other Details: The promo period is from April 17 to June 16, 2023. The redemption period is from April 17 to August 15, 2023.


  1. The Promotion is open to pre-selected Metrobank Peso Mastercard / Visa, Metrobank Vantage Mastercard / Visa, M Mastercard, Titanium Mastercard, Platinum Mastercard, World Mastercard, ON Virtual Mastercard, PSBank Credit Mastercard, Toyota Mastercard, NCCC Mastercard, Rewards Plus Visa, Femme Visa, Femme Signature Visa, Cashback Platinum Visa, and Travel Platinum Visa credit cardholders in good standing. The Promotion is not applicable to Metrobank Dollar Mastercard, Corporate Mastercard, Dealer Financing, YAZZ Prepaid Visa, Metrobank Debit and Prepaid cards.

  2. The promo period is from April 17 to June 16, 2023. The redemption period is from April 17 to August 15, 2023.

  3. Qualified principal cardholder can get PHP 2,500 eGC on his or her airline or air carrier spend for a minimum accumulated spend of PHP 50,000 using his or her Metrobank credit card/s.

  4. The pre-selected customers will receive an SMS, Viber message or an email from MCC / Metrobank with a reference number. Cardholder who did not receive any SMS, Viber message or eMail with reference number will not be qualified for the promo. Metrobank will not accommodate request of cardholder to include his or her account in the pre-selected customer for the promo.

  5. To qualify for the promo, a principal cardholder must have his or her mobile number updated in Metrobank credit card’s database and is required to register by:

    a. Visit metrobankcard.mymcc.gift
    b. Log-in your mobile number found in Metrobank’s database.
    c. In the Available Promos section, click “Spend N’ Discover” and enter mobile to register in the promo.
    d. A successful SMS will be sent to the cardholders’ mobile number after successful registration.

    Registration via the Metrobank Website
    a. Visit Metrobank website at www.metrobank.com.ph
    b. Scroll down to Featured Promotions.
    c. Swipe through and click "View More".
    d. Search “PHP 2,500 eGCs on your Airline Spend”.
    e. In the Promo Highlight, refer to bullet #1 to get the One Giftaway Website at metrobankcard.mymcc.gift
    f. Log-in your mobile number found in Metrobank’s database.
    g. In the Available Promos section, click “Spend N’ Discover” and enter mobile to register in the promo.
    h. A successful SMS will be sent to the cardholders’ mobile number after successful registration.

    Register via the MIA of FB Messenger
    a. Chat MIA of Metrobank Card via FB Messenger.
    b. Go to Credit Card Promos.
    c. Click "View Promos" and Search “PHP 2,500 eGCs on your Airline Spend”.
    d. In the Promo Highlight, refer to bullet #1 to get the One Giftaway Website at metrobankcard.mymcc.gift
    e. Log-in your mobile number found in Metrobank’s database.
    f. In the Available Promos section, click “Spend N’ Discover” and enter mobile to register in the promo.

  6. If a cardholder changes and/or updates his or her mobile number after successful registration, a cardholder will not be automatically registered in the promo. It is the responsibility of the cardholder to inform Metrobank by calling our Metrobank Customer Service Hotline at (02) 88-700-700 that he or she changes and/or updates his or her mobile number and would like to register the new mobile number. The same applies for new cardholders that have activated their credit card for the first time within the promo period. A registered customer will not be automatically registered in the promo if he or she changes or updates his or her mobile number.

  7. To avail of the promo, a principal cardholder must register and follow the registration process stated in number 5 promo mechanics. A successful SMS will be sent to the cardholders’ mobile number after the successful registration. No confirmatory SMS means the registration is not successful. Metrobank will only acknowledge a successful registration if the principal cardholder received the successful SMS. Transaction/s made prior registration will qualify for the computation of the accumulated spend as long as the cardholder is registered within the promo period.

    Note: The metrobankcard.mymcc.gift powered by Giftaway will only ask for your mobile number and verification code sent to your mobile number. Metrobank and Giftaway will never ask for your card number, expiry date, CVV, OTP via links in e-mail, SMS or phone calls.

  8. Supplementary cardholder/s is/are automatically registered once the principal cardholder has successfully registered for the promo. Transaction/s made by the supplementary cardholder/s will be included in the primary cardholder’s transaction/s.

  9. By completing cardholders’ registration, he or she agrees that his personal informational shall be subject to confidentiality, data privacy and other security terms of Metrobank’s service provider, Giftaway.

  10. A visual transaction and incentive tracker where all qualified transaction and incentive will be available to registered cardholders starting by May 2, 2023. Only the principal cardholder can access the tracker which will be updated within 5 to 7 banking days after the transaction has been posted in Metrobank system. Metrobank will no longer send token SMS with links in compliance with the BSP Memorandum No. M-2022-015.

  11. Multiple Metrobank Credit Cards under the same customer number will be considered as one unique cardholder. Qualified and posted transactions made by supplementary cardholder/s and/or other Metrobank Credit Card/s (if any) which share the same customer number will be combined in computing for the total minimum accumulated spend. A cardholder will only qualify for one (1) incentive throughout the promo period regardless if accumulated spend exceeds the spend tier.

  12. The computation of the accumulated spend will be considered on a customer level.

  13. Once the cardholder reached the first tier of the accumulated spend, the cardholder will receive an SMS on how to claim the eGC and has the option to claim the eGC for first tier OR disregard the SMS and accumulate for higher tier to receive higher incentive. If the cardholder redeems the incentive for first tier, a cardholder can NO LONGER qualify for higher tier. A cardholder is only allowed to qualify for one (1) incentive and redeem once throughout the duration of the promo period.

  14. In the Giftaway website or visual tracker, a cardholder must click the Use This button within sixty (60) calendar days after the receipt of the confirmation or qualified SMS to get the token code posted in the website. The redemption period is from April 17 to August 15, 2023. All unredeemed token code will be forfeited after the expiration date indicated in the website. Metrobank will not accommodate request of cardholder to extend the validity of the token code once the sixty (60) calendar days has passed.

  15. Metrobank will no longer accommodate request of the cardholder in re-sending requests for token codes such as, but not limited to the following reasons:

    • Token codes sent successfully to the principal cardholder but were accidentally deleted by the cardholder, members of their family or friends due to upgrade or reformatting done to the cardholder’s mobile device.
    • Due to loss, stolen or defective mobile device.
    • Token codes sent successfully to the principal cardholder’s registered old mobile number maintained in Metrobank credit card’s database during the promo and redemption period but cardholder change or update his or her mobile number.
  16. The registered cardholder who reached the minimum accumulated spend by using his or her Metrobank Credit Card will receive a qualified or confirmation SMS from Metrobank and may redeem his or her incentive via Giftaway eGC by following the How to Redeem eGC instruction in Promo Highlight. The eGC for this promo is applicable to select Giftaway merchants assigned by Metrobank. Applicable delivery and other processing fees where from the stores the eGC will be used are not included in the token codes and should be shouldered by the cardholder. The terms and conditions relating to the use of the Giftaway eGC indicated in the Giftaway platform shall apply. The eGC is transferrable to cardholders’ nominated recipient. By clicking the “Share this Button”, cardholder acknowledges that he or she consents to the sharing of the incentive to his or her nominated recipient. Validity of the original token code shall apply. Once the redemption or transfer has been made, Metrobank and Giftaway will not be liable for the incorrect entry of mobile number where the incentive was shared. It is the customer’s sole responsibility to double-check the entry upon redemption of the incentive.

  17. The registered cardholder will receive the incentive in the denomination below:

  18. The redemption period is within sixty (60) calendar days after the receipt of the SMS or upload of the eGC in the self-help tracker. All redemption requests made after the redemption period or after sixty (60) calendar days will not be accommodated. All unredeemed token code/s will be forfeited after the expiration date indicated in the SMS and self-help tracker.

  19. Metrobank will not accommodate request of cardholder to cancel, reverse or applied to other incentive or reward once a valid redemption is made. All redemption will be considered final. It’s the cardholder obligation to make sure that his or her preferred incentive is correct.

  20. “Qualified Transactions” all airline or air carrier spend with the following merchant category and codes:

  1. “Non-Qualified Transactions” includes other retail transactions which does not have MCC similar to above, and merchant installment purchase / transactions that are not made online/MOTO/eCommerce, PayNow, Bills2Pay, Balance Transfer, Balance Conversion, Cash2Go, Cash Advance, mobile payment / mobile wallet transactions, online payment system and transactions with merchant category code of 6540 (such as but not limited to Lazada Top Up, PayMaya Add Money, Shopee Pay, GrabPay) found in Metrobank’s database are excluded from this promotion.

  2. All terms and conditions relating to the use of Universal Giftaway eGCs redemption indicated in the Giftaway redemption portal shall apply. Any dispute related to the use of the Universal Giftaway eGCs shall be coursed through the chosen merchant.

  3. The incentive cost equivalent is VALID in conjunction with any ongoing promos.

  4. Metrobank will not oblige to the cardholder’s request of extending the redemption and validity period of the eGC once sixty (60) calendar days has passed. All questions and issues will only be accepted within sixty (60) calendar days after the end of the promo period, after which, Metrobank will no longer entertain disputes and / or requests.

  5. A cardholder and transaction/s will be disqualified from the promo if his or her Metrobank credit card becomes past due, delinquent, suspended, cancelled or terminated before the release of the eGCs. If the cardholder does not pay for his or her balances because of his or her concern/s Metrobank will not be liable on the accrued charges to his or her account.

  6. Metrobank reserves the right to disqualify a previously approved transaction that was cancelled or charged back within the promo period. Should the cardholder receive the incentive but was later on deemed unqualified for not meeting the requirements of the promo due to disputes arising from erroneous, invalid, fraudulent or unauthorized transactions, the cost of the eGCs shall be charged by Metrobank to the cardholder’s credit card account.

  7. All questions regarding the cardholder’s eligibility to this promo shall be resolved by Metrobank, with the concurrence of DTI.

  8. The use of Metrobank credit card in connection with this promo is subject to the Terms and Conditions governing the issuance and use of Metrobank credit cards.
