The Metrobank Online Member Get Member promo (the “Promo”) shall run from January 20, 2025 to December 31, 2025. (the “Promo Period and Card Application Period”).
The Promo is open to existing principal Metrobank credit card cardholders whose accounts are active and are in good credit standing, who have received the Electronic Direct Email (EDM) or SMS referral invitation (“Referrer”). Employees of Metrobank and employees of the program’s third party providers are not eligible for the promo.
Referrers will receive an eGift worth PHP 2,000 (“Reward”) for every approved and activated new-to-Metrobank principal credit card referral within the promo period.
To qualify for the Reward of PHP 2,000 eGift for every approved and activated new-to-Metrobank credit card referral, the referrer must follow the following steps:
a. The Referrer must share the unique member referral code sent to their email address and mobile number registered to Metrobank.
b. Referrals must apply for a Metrobank credit card during the Promo Period, and indicate the unique referral code of the referrer in the online application form in https://apply.metrobank.com.ph/creditcard
c. The approved Metrobank credit card of the referral must be approved for the following credit card types:
i. Cashback Visa
ii. Metrobank Rewards Plus Visa
iii. Metrobank Titanium Mastercard
iv. Toyota Mastercard
v. Metrobank Platinum Mastercard
vi. Metrobank Travel Signature Visa
vii. Metrobank World Mastercard
d. The Referral must meet the following criteria:
i. Has no existing credit card with Metrobank or has not had one within the last six (6) months prior to referral.
ii. Has activated the newly approved Metrobank credit card within 60 days from date of card approval.
Only referral applications done directly through the online application form in https://apply.metrobank.com.ph/creditcard are qualified for the promo. Applications done through other external aggregators and partner sites such as but not limited to Moneymax, Lazada, Foodpanda and the like are not qualified for the referral reward.
Qualified Referrers with successful referrals will receive a message via Viber, SMS or EDM confirming his/her eligibility to receive the PHP 2,000 eGift within 30 calendar days after the credit card activation of their referrals. They must follow the redemption procedure.
To redeem the eGift , the Cardholder must:
a. Go to https://metrobankcard.mymcc.gift
b. They will be redirected to the Giftaway website, an external website owned by Metrobank’s third party provider.
c. From the redemption page, qualified referrers should provide their Metrobank-registered mobile number and agree that such information will be subject to the Confidentiality, Data Privacy and Security Policy/Terms of the eGift provider, Giftaway Inc., and is subject further to the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (R.A. No. 10173). The redemption page will never ask for the card number, expiry date, or CVV.
d. Referrers will receive a one-time password that they would need to input on the page.
e. Once successfully inputted, they will be redirected to a page where they can click “CLAIM”.
f. A ‘Redemption Successful’ page will appear once they’ve successfully completed the redemption process.
The Referrer must redeem the eGift within thirty (30) calendar days from receipt of the SMS. After which, the Gift will be forfeited. In addition, the eGift cannot be exchanged for cash, other products or discounts. Redeemed referrer gift are valid within 60 days of redemption.
A Referrer shall forfeit the eGift if he or she no longer has a Metrobank credit card at the time of the crediting.
In case of multiple Referrers of the same card applicant, the eGift will be given to the referrer whose referral code was used in the first referred credit card application received by Metrobank.
Referrers can receive an eGift for up to a maximum of 30 approved Referrals for the duration of the Promo.
Promo Eligibility:
Referrer’s must be a Metrobank credit card cardholders whose accounts are active and are in good credit standing and have received the Electronic Direct Email (EDM) or SMS referral invitation
Employees of Metrobank and employees of the program’s third party providers are not eligible for the promo.
The Referrer agrees and undertakes that when sharing his/her referral code, he/she will not use Metrobank’s trademarks, service marks, logos, symbols, or brand names, or proprietary indicia, or otherwise use the intellectual property of Metrobank in advertising, promotional or marketing communications or correspondence with his/her Referrals. However, Referrers may use the name of Metrobank or the name of the Promo in sharing their referral link.
The Referrer agrees and undertakes that when sharing his/her referral code, he/she will not represent or misrepresent that he/she is acting for or on behalf of Metrobank. Referrers who abuse the referral program in any manner and engage in fraudulent activity shall be reported to the Department of Trade and Industry (“DTI”). This shall be done without prejudice to any legal action that may be taken by Metrobank.
The Referrer agrees and undertakes that when sharing his/her referral code, he/she will not make false claims about Metrobank, its products, or the application process. False claims or any unauthorized action may result in the disqualification of the Referrer from the Promo. This is without any prejudice to any legal action that may be taken by Metrobank against the Referrer.
The Referrer agrees and undertakes that when participating in the Promo, he/she cannot use the Promo as a platform for selling Metrobank credit cards. Abuse or any unauthorized action may result in the disqualification of the Referrer from the Promo. This is without any prejudice to any legal action that may be taken by Metrobank against the Referrer.
The Referrer agrees and undertakes that he/she will not allow a third party to share his/her unique referral code on his/her behalf.
The Referral must personally complete his/her Metrobank credit card application and not allow the Referrer or a third party to complete on his/her behalf.
Metrobank has no obligation to disclose any information about the referrals and the corresponding status of their application to the referrer. Application status may only be inquired directly by the applicant by calling Metrobank Contact Center at (02) 88-700-700 or send an e-mail to customerservice@metrobankcard.com.
Metrobank reserves the right to disqualify previously approved redemptions proven to be unqualified. Should the Referrer receive the incentive but was later deemed unqualified for not meeting the requirements of the incentives due to disputes arising from erroneous, invalid, fraudulent or unauthorized applications, the cost of the incentive shall be charged by Metrobank to the Referrer’s credit card account.
All referred credit card applications shall be subject to Metrobank’s final approval and credit card terms and conditions.
The use of the Metrobank credit card in connection with this Promo is subject to the Terms and Conditions governing the issuance and use of Metrobank credit card.
In case of dispute on a Referral’s eligibility, Metrobank’s decision shall prevail. All questions or disputes regarding the Referral’s eligibility for the Promo or for any redemption shall be resolved by Metrobank at its discretion.
