Promo Mechanics

  1. The 2025 Metrobank Forever Zero Promo (“Promo”) shall run from August 16, 2025 to December 31, 2025 extended until February 28, 2026 (“Promo Period” or “Card Application Period) only.

  2. The Promo is open to newly approved and qualified principal Metropolitan Bank & Trust Company (“Metrobank”) cardholders (“Cardholders”) who:

    a. are Select Metrobank depositors who received an invitational offer via telesales, email, viber and sms from Metrobank.

    b. have applied and submitted complete application requirements within the Promo Period and were subsequently approved for the following credit card types:

    • Toyota Mastercard

    • Titanium Mastercard

    • Cashback Visa

    • Rewards Plus Visa

    • Platinum Mastercard

    • Travel Signature Visa; and

    • World Mastercard

    c. do not have an existing or cancelled principal credit card issued by Metrobank and have not had one in the last six (6) months.

  3. A Cardholder may only qualify for this acquisition promo during the promo period, unless explicitly stated otherwise in the mechanics of another promo.

    • If a Cardholder qualifies for multiple acquisition promos that overlap during the same promo period, this promo will take precedence.

    • Cardholders who are part of this offer will not be eligible for other acquisition promos within the same period.

  4. Cardholders must activate and use their card for any retail, online or installment transactions within sixty (60) days from card approval to qualify to the promo.

  5. The principal Cardholder’s annual fee will be waived if the cardholder reaches the required minimum accumulated valid spend below within ninety (90) days from card approval.

  6. If the principal Cardholder does not meet the required Spend, he/she will be charged an annual fee.

  7. Valid spend in the Spend computation shall only include the following posted transactions below:

    a. Retail purchases (inclusive of domestic, international & online transactions),

    b. Merchant installment transactions (inclusive of domestic, international & online transactions, covering only the principal amount of transactions approved within the Spend Period),

    c. Bills2Pay,

    d. Transactions made by supplementary cardholders will be included in the computation of the principal Cardholder’s minimum spend requirement;

  8. The following transactions and fees will not be considered as valid spend:

    a. Card fees,

    b. Cash advance and cash advance fees,

    c. Loans and loan charges,

    d. Balance conversion and balance conversion charges,

    e. Balance transfer and balance transfer charges,

    f. Cash2go and Cash2go charges,

    g. Interest charges,

    h. Late payment charges,

    i. PayNow & PayNow fees,

    j. Recurring payments,

    k. The transactions with credit adjustments resulting from merchant-initiated credit adjustments and transaction disputes,

    l. Quasi-cash transactions (e.g. funding Grabpay or Maya Wallet),

    m. Other miscellaneous fees;

  9. Should there be any change/s in the cardholder’s Metrobank-registered mobile number, it is the responsibility of the Cardholder to update his/her contact information by calling the Metrobank Customer Service Hotline at (02) 88-700-700.

  10. Only the principal Cardholder can qualify for the Promo. Annual fee of supplementary cardholders will not be waived under this Promo even if the principal Cardholder meets the Annual Spend requirement.

  11. The Annual Fee Waiver is non-transferable, and cannot be converted or exchanged for cash, credit, benefit, advantage, or any property.

  12. The computation of the Valid Spend and awarding of the Annual Fee Waiver to Cardholders by Metrobank is considered final.

  13. In the event that the Cardholder requests for an upgrade, conversion, or any change to the qualified credit card at any time, the Annual Fee Waiver under this Promo will no longer apply. The Annual Fee Waiver is non-transferable and will not be carried over to the newly upgraded, converted, or changed credit card.

  14. Metrobank reserves the right to disqualify any Cardholder from further participation in this Promo if the Cardholder has past due accounts with Metrobank, defaults in his/her payment or, if in Metrobank’s judgment, the said Cardholder has violated these Terms & Conditions and/or the Metrobank Credit Card Terms and Conditions.

  15. Metrobank reserves the right to disqualify a previously approved transaction that was cancelled or charged back within the Promo Period. Should a Cardholder receive the Annual Fee Waiver, but was later on deemed unqualified for not meeting the requirements of the incentive due to disputes arising from, but not limited to, erroneous, invalid, fraudulent or unauthorized transactions, the cost of the annual fee shall be charged by Metrobank to the Cardholder’s credit card account upon the Anniversary Date of the card.

  16. Employees of Metrobank are disqualified to join this Promo.

  17. All questions or disputes regarding the Cardholder’s eligibility for the Promo or for any redemption shall be resolved by Metrobank, at its discretion, upon the concurrence of the DTI.

  18. In the event that the principal Cardholder cancels his/her Metrobank credit card within eighteen (18) months from the card opening date, Metrobank reserves the right to charge the equivalent pro-rated amount of the annual fee.

  19. All credit card applications shall be subject to Metrobank’s final approval and applicable terms and conditions. Cardholders shall be notified of the credit decision via SMS or email. The Cardholder and co-obligor, if any, authorize Metrobank to issue, at its discretion, the appropriate credit card product/s in case they are qualified for membership after due credit evaluation has been done.

  20. Any dispute concerning the products or services availed to meet the spend requirement shall be settled directly between the cardholder and the appropriate merchant with the concurrence of the DTI.

  21. The use of the Metrobank credit card in connection with the Promo is subject to the Metrobank Credit Card Terms and Conditions.

  22. By joining or availing of this Promo, the Cardholder confirms that he/she has read, understood and agreed to the promo mechanics and these Terms and Conditions.
