Promo Mechanics

Promo Eligibility

  • Must have an active account of Metrobank (Checking/Savings Account)
  • Must have downloaded the NEW Metrobank App or updated to the latest version (ver 1.12.0 or above). To download the new app, go to:
  • Must have an updated profile to access the new Metrobank App
  • Only fund transfer amounting to PHP 1,000 or below per transaction

  1. The InstaPay Fee Waiver (“Promo”) shall run from July 15 to January 31, 2026 (“Promo Period” or “Card Application Period) only.

  2. The Promo is open to the total active consumer base of Metrobank (Checking/Savings Account and/or Credit Card Account).

  3. The customer must perform a send money/fund transfer amounting to PHP 1,000 or below to waive the InstaPay fee.

  4. Only non-scheduled transactions would be qualified for the waiver, scheduled transactions would still incur the InstaPay fee once transactions have been processed.

  5. Only transactions that are made through the new Metrobank App would qualify for the waiver. Send Money/Fund Transfer transactions through other digital platforms (e.g. Metrobank Online) would not merit the waiver promo.

  6. Fund transfer to entities that do not accept InstaPay are exempt from the waiver, and shall entail to transaction fees.

  7. Existing customers are required to update the app to the latest version in order for the application of waiver fee to proceed in their transactions.

  8. The waived fee is non-transferable, and cannot be converted or exchanged for cash, credit, benefit, advantage, or any property.

  9. In case of dispute on customer’s eligibility, Metrobank’s decision shall prevail. All questions or disputes regarding the customer eligibility for the Promo or for any redemption shall be resolved by Metrobank at its discretion.

Definition of Terms

  • “Send Money” or “Fund Transfer” refers to the transaction that allows customers to transmit funds from their own account to another account/entity
  • “Debit” refers to a removal from a customer’s account as a form of payment for services of goods
  • “InstaPay Fee” refers to the fee that customers are debited when they send money through the Metrobank Online App. The fee is currently PHP 25 per transaction.
  • “Waiver Promo” refers to the renouncement of fees to perform the services required by the customer pertaining to this initiative
  • “Promo period” s the period when the waived fees for InstaPay fees would take into effect. For this Promo, it is July 15 to January 31, 2026
  • “Non-Scheduled Transaction” refers to unplanned transactions that are done through the Metrobank Online App on non-specific periods
  • “Scheduled Transaction” refers to planned transactions that are set at a specific period on the Metrobank Online App for the transaction to proceed
  • “Metrobank Online” refers to the web-based platform of Metrobank’s consumer business which allows customers to perform numerous transactions
  • “Active account” refers to customers that have transacted atleast once within a year
  • “Entity” refers to a company or an establishment
