Promo Mechanics

  1. The Metrobank Mastercard Lifetime Free Annual Fees Promo 2026 (“Promo”) shall run from March 1, 2026 to June 30, 2026 (“Promo Period” or “Card Application Period) only.

  2. The Promo is open to all new principal Metropolitan Bank & Trust Company (“Metrobank”) cardholders (“Cardholders”) who:

    a. Have applied and submitted complete application requirements within the Promo Period and were subsequently approved for “Titanium Mastercard”.

    b. Do not have an existing or cancelled Metrobank principal credit card and have not held one in the past six (6) months.

  3. A Cardholder may only qualify for this acquisition promo during the promo period, unless explicitly stated otherwise in the mechanics of another promo.

    • If a Cardholder qualifies for multiple acquisition promos that overlap during the same promo period, this promo will take precedence.

    • Cardholders who are part of this offer will not be eligible for other acquisition promos within the same period.

  4. To qualify, the Cardholder must enroll his/her newly approved Metrobank Credit Card in the Metrobank Online App within 90 days from card approval date.

    For first-time app users:

    Step 1: Download the Metrobank App

    Step 2: Sign up on the app with your new card. Make sure to type your name as printed on the card.

    Step 3: Go to your dashboard and tap “Activate Card”. Enter the expiry date of your new card and your 6-digit Metrobank passcode.

    For existing users:

    Step 1: Log in and tap “My Accounts”.

    Step 2: Go to your dashboard and tap “Activate Card”. Enter the expiry date of your new card

    and your 6-digit Metrobank passcode.

  5. The qualified cardholder must meet a minimum accumulated spend of PHP 30,000 within ninety (90) days from the card approval date. An SMS notification will be sent once the spend requirement is met and the account has been tagged for No Annual Fee for Life.

  6. Only the following posted transactions will be considered as Valid Spend:

    a. Straight retail transactions (inclusive of domestic, international & online transactions.),

    b. Bills2Pay, Paybills , and Bills Payment,

    c. Retail Installments & Special Installments (For retail inclusive of domestic, international & online transactions; both covering only the principal amount of transactions approved within the Spend Period)

    Note: The transaction date of each transaction will serve as the basis for qualification under the 90day spend requirement

    d. Valid transactions made by supplementary cardholders will be included in the computation of principal cardholder’s annual spend;

    e. Cash Advance

    f. Recurring Payments (Spotify, Netflix, Youtube etc).

  7. The following transactions and fees will not be considered as valid spend:

    a. Add-on interest,

    b. Fees and charges (covering card fees, cash advance, balance conversion, balance transfer, PayNow, send money, late payment , loan)

    c. Balance Conversion installments,

    d. PayNow,

    e. Loans,

    f. Quasi-cash transactions , (e.g. funding Grabpay or Maya Wallet)

    g. Send Money,

    h. The transactions with credit adjustments resulting from merchant-initiated credit adjustments and transaction disputes,

    i. Recurring Payments, and

    j. Other miscellaneous fees

  8. Should there be any change/s in the cardholder’s Metrobank-registered mobile number, it is the responsibility of the Cardholder to update his/her contact information by calling the Metrobank Customer Service Hotline at (02) 88-700-700.

  9. Only the Principal Cardholder is eligible to qualify for the Promo. One (1) supplementary card is entitled to a free annual fee for life. The annual fee for any succeeding supplementary cardholder(s) will not be waived under this Promo, even if the Principal Cardholder qualifies.

  10. The Annual Fee Waiver is non-transferable, and cannot be converted or exchanged for cash, credit, benefit, advantage, or any property.

  11. The computation of the Valid Spend and awarding of the Annual Fee Waiver to Cardholders by Metrobank is considered final.

  12. In the event that the Cardholder requests for an upgrade, conversion, or any change to the qualified credit card at any time, the Annual Fee Waiver under this Promo will no longer apply. The Annual Fee Waiver will not be carried over to the newly upgraded, converted, or changed credit card.

  13. Metrobank reserves the right to disqualify any Cardholder from further participation in this Promo if the Cardholder has past due accounts with Metrobank, defaults in his/her payment or, if in Metrobank’s judgment, the said Cardholder has violated these Terms & Conditions and/or the Metrobank Credit Card Terms and Conditions.

  14. Metrobank reserves the right to disqualify a previously approved transaction that was cancelled or charged back within the Promo Period. Should a Cardholder receive the Annual Fee Waiver, but was later on deemed unqualified for not meeting the requirements of the incentive due to disputes arising from, but not limited to, erroneous, invalid, fraudulent or unauthorized transactions, the cost of the annual fee shall be charged by Metrobank to the Cardholder’s credit card account upon the Anniversary Date of the card.

  15. Employees of Metrobank and DOSRI accounts are not qualified to join this Promo.

  16. All questions or disputes regarding the Cardholder’s eligibility for the Promo or for any redemption shall be resolved by Metrobank, at its discretion, upon the concurrence of the DTI.

  17. In the event that the principal Cardholder cancels his/her Metrobank credit card within eighteen (18) months from the card opening date, Metrobank reserves the right to charge the equivalent pro-rated amount of the annual fee.

  18. All credit card applications shall be subject to Metrobank’s final approval and applicable terms and conditions. Cardholders shall be notified of the credit decision via SMS or email. The Cardholder and co-obligor, if any, authorize Metrobank to issue, at its discretion, the appropriate credit card product/s in case they are qualified for membership after due credit evaluation has been done.

  19. Any dispute concerning the products or services availed to meet the spend requirement shall be settled directly between the cardholder and the appropriate merchant with the concurrence of the DTI.

  20. The use of the Metrobank credit card in connection with the Promo is subject to the Metrobank Credit Card Terms and Conditions.

  21. By joining or availing of this Promo, the Cardholder confirms that he/she has read, understood and agreed to the promo mechanics and these Terms and Conditions.
