Promo Mechanics and Offer

  1. The Make Saving More Rewarding Promo (“Promo”) will run from July 1 to September 30, 2024 (“Promo Period”).

  2. The promo is open to all new clients who will open a participating Savings or Checking account for the first time with Metrobank within the promo period.

  3. To qualify, the client must:

    a. Open a participating Metrobank deposit product within the duration of the promo:

    • Regular Peso Savings Account with Debit Card
    • Regular Peso Savings Account with Passbook
    • Regular Peso Checking Account
    • Account One (Peso Checking Account with Passbook, Checkbook, and Debit Card)

    b. Deposit a minimum of PHP 25,000 upon account opening.

    c. Register an active email and mobile number with Metrobank

    *To receive communications about this promo, the client must ensure that the email address and mobile number registered with the bank is updated and active. To be included in future Metrobank promotions and communications, client needs to update his/her contact information by visiting any Metrobank branch or by following the instructions here https://metrobank.com.ph/articles/update-your-info.

  4. Qualified clients will be entitled to one (1) Lazada Gift Card worth PHP 500.

  5. Qualified clients will receive a notification email from Metrobank within seven (7) banking days after their account opening date with the gift card code and redemption details.

Redemption Mechanics

  1. Download the Lazada app for free via App Store for Apple users or Google Play store for Android users.

  2. Open the Lazada App and login to your account.

  3. Select Lazada Wallet on the top right corner of the app then click the Lazada Gift Card icon.

  4. Enter the 20-character gift card code received through email from Metrobank in the field provided.

  5. Click “Redeem” and the PHP 500 Gift Card will be converted as Lazada Wallet credits.

  6. The PHP 500 Lazada Gift Card can be redeemed until December 31, 2024 only (“Redemption Period”).

Privacy Notice

  1. The promo is available only to new clients who will open a participating deposit account for the first time with Metrobank within the promo period.

  2. Clients with existing Metrobank credit card, loan, or insurance products who do not have a Metrobank savings or checking account yet are eligible to join this promo.

  3. For Joint-Or/And accounts, the new Metrobank deposit client has to be the primary account holder to qualify for the promo.

  4. Client must deposit a minimum of PHP 25,000 to his/her newly opened participating account to be eligible for the Lazada Gift Card.

  5. Client must provide a valid email address and mobile number upon account opening. The Bank will not be liable if the client provided an invalid email address and mobile number resulting to the Bank’s inability to send the Lazada Gift Card code successfully.

  6. Promo is valid only for qualified accounts opened in any Metrobank branch nationwide.

  7. Payroll accounts are excluded from the promo.

  8. Client will only qualify for a Lazada Gift Card once, regardless if he/she opened multiple accounts during the promo period.

  9. All unredeemed gift cards from the promo will be forfeited after the Redemption Period.

  10. Metrobank will not accommodate any client request to extend the validity of the gift card code beyond the redemption period.

  11. The Lazada Gift Card is transferable but non-convertible to cash or any other goods and services. Once the gift card code has been provided by Metrobank, the responsibility of redemption and possible transfer will be passed unto the client while the fulfillment will be the accountability of Lazada.

  12. Metrobank is not an agent of Lazada Philippines and makes no representation as to the quality of the goods and services provided on the Lazada platform. All feedback regarding quality of the goods and services provided by Lazada Philippines and/or its merchants should be directed to Lazada Philippines.

  13. The promo is subject to the terms and conditions of Metrobank. In case of dispute, the decision of Metrobank will be final, with consent from DTI.

  14. Any amendment in the terms and conditions is subject to DTI approval.
