Promo Mechanics

What are the mechanics

  1. The 2024 Happy Holideals Promo (“Promo”) is open to all qualified clients who will submit complete Car Loan application documents from August 1, 2024 to October 31, 2024 (“Promo Period”).

  2. To qualify for the promo, clients’ Car Loan applications must be approved and subsequently booked1 on or before December 27, 2024 (“Car Loan Booking Period”.

    1A Car Loan application shall be considered “booked” upon (1) submission of complete documents required from the Dealer; and if applicable, (2) registration of Security Interest in the Registry and submission of Certificate of Registration encumbered in favor of the Bank as stated in the Notice of Approval conditions.

  3. Qualified clients shall enjoy the following offers:

    a. Waived Fees of up to PHP 100,000;
    b. Low interest rate; and
    c. Pre-qualification to a Metrobank Toyota Mastercard.

  4. Eligibility criteria are as follows:

  • Application is for purchase or reimbursement of a brand-new car for private use only;
  • Loan term should be at least 36 months; and
  • Loan amount should be at least PHP 500,000.

Waived Fees

  1. Waived fees up to PHP 100,000 are limited only to: (1) Chattel Mortgage Registration Fee; (2) Documentary Stamp Tax (DST); and (3) Notarial Fee. The maximum amount of fee waiver will depend on the loan amount and the actual cost of aforementioned inclusions, which waived fees shall not exceed as follows:

*Fee waiver is applicable on a per unit basis.

The waiver of bank fees shall be applied in this order of priority:

1st – Security Interest Registration Fees
2nd – Documentary Stamp Tax
3rd – Notarial Fee

  1. Fees beyond the cap or those outside of the aforementioned inclusions, such as, but not limited to handling fee, are ineligible for the waived fees offer and shall be shouldered by the client.

Low Interest Rates

  1. Applicable interest rates for 36 to 60-month terms shall be as follows:

60 9.43% p.a. 9.11% p.a.
*Nominal Rates may vary depending on dealer fees.

Pre-Qualified2 Credit Card Offer

  1. Only individual loan borrowers may pre-qualify for a credit card.

  2. Either the principal loan borrower or the co-borrower may pre-qualify for a credit card, as principal credit card holder. The other loan borrower may however apply as supplementary credit card holder.

    2Pre-qualification means that client has met the basic eligibility requirements. Issuance of credit card is still subject to review and approval of Metrobank.

Promo Lock-in conditions:

  1. The loan availed under this promo is subject to a lock-in period equivalent to the entire term of the loan.

  2. During the lock-in period, the client:

    a. Shall not request for amendment of the originally approved interest rate, loan term, and other terms and conditions.
    b. Shall pay the loan amortizations on time and maintain the account in current status throughout the entire loan term.
    c. Shall not sell, mortgage, dispose, or convert to public utility the vehicle mortgaged while the loan is outstanding.

  3. In case of violation of any of the above conditions regardless of the timing in relation to the term of the loan, Metrobank will charge back to the client the total Chattel Mortgage Registration Fee, Documentary Stamp Tax (DST), and Notarial Fee previously waived by the Bank.

How to apply

  1. All car loan applications qualified for the promo will undergo standard evaluation process of Metrobank, subject to completion of required application documents.

  2. The client shall keep the vehicle for private use only and not convert the same to a public utility vehicle for the entire loan term.

  3. Vehicles sourced from non-authorized dealerships (gray market) are not qualified for the promotion.

  4. The client shall authorize the Bank to hold the release of original LTO OR/CR, Deed of Cancellation/Release of Chattel Mortgage, and other documents relative to the motor vehicle until maturity/full settlement of the loan and/or until any unpaid obligation is settled.

  5. Waived fees and low interest rates cannot be availed separately.

  6. In case of loan prepayment (whether full or partial), the following shall be charged to the client:

    a. Processing fee for full payment of loan prior to maturity; plus
    b. Chattel Mortgage Registration Fee, Documentary Stamp Tax (DST), and Notarial Fee previously waived by the Bank

  7. The pre-qualified credit card availment is optional.

  8. All pre-qualified Metrobank credit card applications shall undergo standard credit evaluation and shall be subject to Metrobank’s final approval.

  9. The offer is non-transferrable and cannot be converted to cash or be availed in conjunction with other Metrobank Car Loan promotions and/offers. The Bank must be advised in writing if client opts to avail of other ongoing promotional activities or other special considerations.

  10. For items not mentioned in this Promo Mechanics, standard Metrobank Car Loan and Credit Card terms and conditions shall apply.

  11. Any amendment in the terms and conditions of this offer will be subject to DTI approval.

  12. Any dispute or concern regarding the vehicle availed shall be resolved directly between the client and the appropriate dealership.

  13. In case of dispute, Metrobank’s decision shall be deemed final in concurrence with DTI. These terms and conditions are subject to any relevant law, government directives, and/or regulations. The promo shall be void if later on found to be prohibited or restricted by law or government regulations.

  14. By joining this promo, the client confirms that he/she has read, understood, and agreed to the Promo Mechanics and its terms and conditions.
