The promotion is exclusive to select Metrobank Peso Platinum Mastercard, World Mastercard, Travel Platinum Visa, Femme Visa, Femme Signature Visa, M Free Mastercard, M Lite Mastercard, Titanium Mastercard, Vantage Mastercard/Visa, Toyota Mastercard, Rewards Visa Plus, Cashback Visa, PSBank Credit Mastercard, and NCCC Mastercard credit cardholders (CHs). The promotion is not applicable to ON Internet Mastercard, Dollar Mastercard, Dealer Financing, Corporate Mastercard, YAZZ Prepaid Visa, Metrobank Debit and Prepaid cards.
The promo period is from September 1 to 30, 2023.
The pre-selected cardholders will receive an SMS/Viber with reference number - (CCPD23-260) from Metrobank. Metrobank will not accommodate requests of cardholders to include his or her account in the list of pre-selected customers for the promo.
To qualify for the Bills2Pay cashback incentive, the primary cardholder must enroll one or more Meralco utility bills in the Bills2Pay auto-charge program during the promotion period.
To enroll, cardholders must call Metrobank’s Contact Center at (02) 88-700-700 (Metro Manila) or 1-800-1-888-5775 (Domestic Toll-Free). All applications are subject to Metrobank credit evaluation and approval. For more information about B2P, go to https://mbcpc.co/Bills2Pay-FAQs.
After a successful enrollment, the cardholder must ensure that his/her account is active and in current status during the promotion period.
Metrobank will process the B2P enrollment request with the B2P utility merchant for fifteen (15) business days, or however many days is stated on the agreed service level with the B2P merchant, whichever is shorter.
Each B2P enrollment request will go through the validation of Metrobank and the B2P utility merchant. Meanwhile, the B2P utility merchant reserves the right to evaluate the accuracy and validity of the utility bill information provided by the cardholder.
A cardholder may earn the PHP 500 cashback for every successful B2P enrollment. The cashback is earned on the first billed amount charged to the Metrobank card, subject to the enrolment period and first billing cut-off period.
The first billed amount after enrolment must appear in the qualified cardholder’s statement of account (SOA) within the specified qualified first billing period illustrated in the table below. The PHP 500 cashback amount shall be credited to the cardholder’s SOA with the transaction description: B2P PHP 500 Cashback and shall appear in the cardholder’s SOA within 15 banking days after the month end where the first B2P billing appeared.
To illustrate:
A cardholder will qualify for the incentive for every new enrollment within the specified promo period. Illustrated in the table below are sample scenarios to determine the cashback incentive amount.
The cashback is non-transferrable and non-convertible to cash refund. The posted cashback transaction amount shall automatically offset the cardholder’s existing credit card balance.
Cardholder must ensure that the B2P enrollment is active for at least 12 months. In the event that the enrolled utility bill was cancelled or suspended for any reason which resulted in the ceasing of its monthly billing, the awarded cashback will be charged back to the cardholder’s account. This will appear in the SOA with transaction description - B2P PHP 500 Cashback – Reversal.
A cardholder and transaction/s will be disqualified from the promo if his or her Metrobank credit card becomes past due, delinquent, suspended, cancelled or terminated before the crediting of cashback. Metrobank will not be liable for any accrued charges to cardholder’s account arising from non-settlement of outstanding obligations.
Metrobank reserves the right to withhold the incentive for an enrolment that was cancelled within 3 months of the promo period and re-enrolled during the promo period. Should the cardholder receive the incentive but is later on deemed unqualified for not meeting the requirements of the promo due to disputes arising from erroneous, invalid, fraudulent or unauthorized transactions and enrolments, the cost of the cashback shall be charged by Metrobank to the cardholder’s credit card account.
All questions regarding the cardholder’s eligibility to this promo shall be resolved by Metrobank, with the concurrence of DTI.
All terms and conditions applicable under the B2P auto-charge program will apply.
The use of a Metrobank credit card in connection with this promo is subject to the Terms and Conditions.
