Eligible Metrobank Credit Cardholders (as defined at paragraph 3 below) can enjoy 50% OFF (“MBTC Plan”) on 1-year subscription of the Viu Premium service (“Viu Premium Service”). The special 1-year MBTC Plan is available at the price of PHP 499.50 (“Discounted Price”) only.

The MBTC Plan is valid for purchase from October 15 to December 31, 2024 (both dates inclusive) (“MBTC Plan Period”).

The MBTC Plan is open to all credit cardholders of good credit standing of the following credit cards under Metrobank only (each, an “Eligible Metrobank Credit Cardholder”): Metrobank Peso Visa / Mastercard, Metrobank Vantage Visa / Mastercard, M Mastercard, Titanium Mastercard, Platinum Mastercard, World Mastercard, PSBank Credit Mastercard, NCCC Mastercard, Toyota Mastercard, ON Internet Mastercard, Rewards Plus Visa, Femme Visa, Femme Signature Visa, Cashback Platinum Visa, and Travel Platinum Visa (each, an “Eligible Metrobank Credit Card”).

The MBTC Plan is not open to cardholders of the following cards under Metrobank: Metrobank Dollar Mastercard, Metrobank PRIME, Elite, Premier + Debit, Prepaid cards and YAZZ Prepaid Visa cards.

To avail of the MBTC Plan, Eligible Metrobank Credit Cardholders must purchase the MBTC Plan via Viu’s website (www.viu.com) and pay via Adyen, Viu’s authorized direct credit card and debit card payment gateway, in accordance with the following steps in their particular order*:

a. User shall visit www.viu.com and registers or logs in to his/her account.

b. User shall click on the Member Center on the upper right corner and select “Viu Premium”.

c. User will be presented with a menu of offers. User shall choose the “50% off for Metrobank Cards” offer.

d. User shall click on “Upgrade Now”.

e. User will be redirected to the payment portal, where he/she will be asked to consent to the terms of use and other restrictions of the Viu website, and upon signification of such consent, User shall input his/her Eligible Metrobank Credit Card details. User shall confirm the transaction and may be asked to input a one-time password.

f. If User uses a credit card that is not an Eligible Metrobank Credit Card, he/she will receive a notice that he/she cannot avail of the MBTC Plan and will be asked if he/she would like to proceed with the annual subscription plan at the regular price.

g. Once successful, User will be asked to input his/her billing email address.

h. User can now enjoy the Viu Premium Service via Viu’s website or through Viu’s app. User’s Eligible Metrobank Credit Card will be charged immediately.

*The above steps are applicable to both IOS and Android users using a mobile web browser or on desktop.

The MBTC Plan applies to a 1-year subscription only. The MBTC Plan starts immediately upon the Eligible Metrobank Credit Cardholder’s subscription of the MBTC Plan and remains in effect for three hundred sixty-five (365) consecutive days (“MBTC Effective Period”).

The MBTC Plan may be cancelled at any time during the MBTC Effective Period. If the MBTC Plan is cancelled, another subscription of the Viu Premium Service cannot be purchased at the Discounted Price a second time.

If the MBTC Plan is not cancelled at least twenty-four (24) hours before the last day of the MBTC Effective Period, the MBTC Plan will be automatically converted to the Viu Premium Yearly Plan where the full applicable yearly subscription fee for the Viu Premium Service will be charged for the year starting on the first day after the end of the MBTC Effective Period, and for the subsequent year on a recurring annual basis.

Under no circumstances will Viu: (i) refund any subscription fees that have already been paid, or (ii) refund or credit any partial time periods or unused portions of the subscription.

An Eligible Metrobank Credit Cardholder must not already have any existing active subscription to the Viu Premium Service to avail of the MBTC Plan, unless he/she creates a new Viu account.

The MBTC Plan is valid for single use only per Eligible Metrobank Credit Cardholder within the MBTC Plan Period.

The MBTC Plan is available for subscriptions made within the Philippines only.

Viu and Metrobank reserve the right to determine the eligibility of an applicant for the MBTC Plan. In the event of any dispute arising out of and/or in connection with the eligibility of an applicant for the MBTC Plan, the decision of Viu and Metrobank (with the concurrence of the DTI) shall be final.

By activating and using the MBTC Plan, Eligible Metrobank Credit Cardholders are deemed to have agreed to be bound by the Viu Terms and Conditions (https://www.viu.com/ott/ph/en/copyright-statement/terms-and-conditions) (“Viu T&Cs”) and these Terms and Conditions.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Viu be liable to any Eligible Metrobank Credit Cardholder for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, exemplary, punitive or consequential damages (including loss of use, data, business or profits) arising out of or in connection with their participation in the MBTC Plan, whether such liability arises from any claim based upon contract, warranty, tort (including negligence), strict liability or otherwise, and whether or not they have been advised of the possibility of such loss or damage.

Except in cases wherein Viu fails to award the Discounted Price to Eligible Metrobank Credit Cardholders who have successfully purchased the MBTC Plan in accordance with paragraph 5 above, and only up the amount thereof, Eligible Metrobank Credit Cardholders acknowledge and agree that Viu or any of its affiliates shall not be responsible, and shall have no liability to any third party for any dispute or claim that arises out of their participation in the MBTC Plan.

You agree that the MBTC Plan and these Terms and Conditions are governed, interpreted and enforced by the laws of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

The MBTC Plan is non-transferrable, non-cumulative, cannot be exchanged for cash or other products and cannot be used in conjunction with any other discounts, promotions or fixed price items, unless otherwise provided.

Metrobank reserves the right to disqualify a previously approved transaction that was cancelled or charged back within the MBTC Effective Period. Should the Eligible Metrobank Credit Cardholder receive the Discounted Price, but was later on deemed unqualified for not meeting the requirements of the MBTC Plan due to disputes arising from, including but not limited to, erroneous, invalid, fraudulent or unauthorized transactions, the cost of the Discounted Price shall be charged by Metrobank to the Eligible Metrobank Credit Cardholder’s credit card account.

The use of credit cards under Metrobank in connection with this MBTC Plan is subject to the Metrobank Credit Card Terms and Conditions, which can be accessed at https://www.metrobank.com.ph/articles/credit-card-terms-and-conditions. The Metrobank Credit Card Terms and Conditions, reminders and other provisions contained in the card carrier, statement of account, charge slips and other documents or instruments, which are made an integral part hereof by reference, shall likewise be resorted to in instances where they are applicable to this MBTC Plan.

Subject to prior DTI approval, Viu reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions as well as to vary or terminate any part of the MBTC Plan. In the event of any dispute arising out of and/or in connection with the MBTC Plan between Viu only and the Eligible Metrobank Credit Cardholder, Viu’s decision with the concurrence of the DTI shall be considered final.

In the event of any dispute arising from and/or in connection with the MBTC Plan between Metrobank only and the Eligible Metrobank Credit Cardholder, including (without limitation) the Eligible Metrobank Credit Cardholder’s ability to avail of and/or eligibility for the MBTC Plan, Metrobank’s decision with the concurrence of the DTI shall be final.

By joining or availing of this MBTC Plan, the Eligible Metrobank Credit Cardholder confirms that he/she has read, understood and agreed to the MBTC Plan’s mechanics and these Terms and Conditions.
