Open an eSavings account to get a free AXA Life Insurance with Terminal Illness benefit.

The Metrobank eSavings with Life Insurance Offer (“Promo”) runs from September 1 to December 31, 2025 (“Promo Period”).
The promo is open to all new individual clients who open a Metrobank eSavings account via the Metrobank App or Earnest App during the Promo Period.
To qualify, the client must:
a. Open a Metrobank eSavings account via the Metrobank App or Earnest App within the Promo Period;
b. Register an active email and mobile number during the account opening process via the Metrobank App or Earnest App; and
c. Deposit a minimum of PHP 2,000 within the first 7 calendar days upon account opening and maintain it as Average Daily Balance (ADB) monthly for 12 months.
Qualified clients will be entitled to a free AXA Life Insurance and Terminal Illness Benefit valid for 12 months upon account opening, provided they maintain their initial deposit of PHP 2,000 as their monthly ADB during the same 12-month period.
The life insurance coverage will be double the Metrobank eSavings account’s ADB for the past three (3) months immediately preceding the death of the insured, while the terminal illness benefit will be fifty percent (50%) of the amount of life insurance, subject to the Maximum Coverage Amount.

Qualified clients will receive a Welcome email from Metrobank within 3 to 5 business days from account opening, confirming full eSavings account verification.
The Promo is available exclusively to new individual clients who open a Metrobank eSavings account via the Metrobank App or Earnest App during the Promo Period.
Clients with an existing savings or checking account are not eligible to join the promo.
Clients with existing Metrobank credit card, loan, or cross-sold insurance products who do not have a Metrobank Peso Savings or Checking account yet are eligible to join the promo.
Each client can avail of the promo only once.
Clients are entitled to avail all other features and concurrent promotions for the Metrobank eSavings account.
The standard initial deposit and maintaining balance requirements for Metrobank eSavings accounts still apply. eSavings accounts with no minimum deposit of Php2,000 within the first 7 calendar days of account opening will be subject to closure. Clients whose eSavings accounts have failed the full verification process will be notified by Metrobank and asked to withdraw their deposit before account closure.
The free AXA Life Insurance and Terminal Illness Benefit is subject to the following conditions:
a. The free insurance benefit applies exclusively to the Metrobank eSavings account holder and cannot be transferred or reassigned.
b. To qualify, the client must deposit and maintain an ADB of PHP 2,000 monthly in his/her Metrobank eSavings account within the next 12 months.
c. If a client fails to maintain the PHP 2,000 ADB in any given month within the 12-month period, the free insurance will be discontinued. The offer will be reinstated once the client meets the PHP 2,000 minimum ADB requirement again. However, the validity period will remain fixed at one year from account opening. For the avoidance of doubt, a sample table of scenarios is provided below to illustrate these conditions:

d. Clients must be at least 18 years old but not more than 65 years old on their eligibility date and must be able to perform Activities of Daily Living namely, dressing, bathing, eating, toileting, mobility (transferring), and continence.
e. The Life Insurance benefit guarantees a lump sum cash benefit to the designated beneficiary in the event of the insured’s death caused by illness, natural causes, or accidents. The insurance amount shall be equal to 2X Metrobank eSavings account’s ADB for the past 3 months immediately preceding the death of the insured, subject to the Maximum Coverage Amount.
f. For insurance claims made within less than three (3) months of account opening, the coverage amount will be determined based on the ADB for the duration since account opening:

The Terminal Illness benefit is provided if the insured is terminally ill, with a life expectancy of 12 months or less, excluding recurring conditions first diagnosed prior to the effective date of this benefit. The insurance amount is equivalent to 50% of the amount of Life Insurance, not to exceed PHP 500,000, shall be advanced to the Insured Member upon AXA’s receipt and approval of due proof that s/he has terminal illness. The advanced amount shall be deducted from the total amount of Life Insurance.

The client must provide a valid and active email address during account opening via the Metrobank App or Earnest App. Metrobank will not be held liable for any issues arising from invalid or inactive contact details, including the inability to receive advisories or updates related to this promo.
By participating in the Promo, the client agrees to follow the Promo Mechanics and these Terms and Conditions. Furthermore, the client consents to sharing of their contact information with AXA for the purpose of determining their eligibility for insurance availment.
Any inquiries/dispute/complaints on client’s eligibility for this promo will be settled directly between the client and Metrobank.
Any inquiries/dispute/complaints/claims on the free AXA Life Insurance and Terminal Illness Benefit will be settled directly between the client and AXA Philippines.
Deposits are insured by PDIC up to PHP 1 Million per depositor.

Steps to Verify AXA Insurance Coverage
The client will receive a separate Welcome email from AXA using AXA’s official email address at customer.service@axa.com.ph, which includes the details of the insurance coverage and the promo name, “Metrobank eSavings with Life Insurance Offer”.
The client must take note of the promo name, “Metrobank eSavings with Life Insurance Offer”, as this is needed when filing an insurance claim, along with the client’s complete name.
Steps for Filing an AXA Insurance Claim
The client or his/her beneficiary must submit the complete requirements to oneclaims@axa.com.ph within 30 business days from the date of the client's passing, or in the case of a terminal illness, upon confirmation by the attending physician that the insured’s life expectancy is under 12 months.
AXA will review the client’s submission and may request for additional documents (as needed) to facilitate the claim.
The client will receive a notification within 7 to 10 business days from submission whether his/her claim has been approved or denied by AXA.
