What are the mechanics

  • Registration: The principal cardholder will receive an SMS or Viber message blast containing the registration process at the start of the promo period. Once received, the principal cardholder must register and follow the steps below:

    a. Visit https://metrobankcard.mymcc.gift/
    b. Log-in your mobile number found in Metrobank’s database.
    c. In the Available Promos section, click “Choose PayNow” and enter your mobile number to register in the promo.
    d. A successful SMS will be sent to the cardholders’ mobile number after successful registration.

  • Qualified Transactions: Includes PayNow transactions via the Metrobank app and should not be transferred to cardholder’s own account.

  • Redemption of the Qualified eGCs:

    a. Visit https://metrobankcard.mymcc.gift/
    b. Log-in your mobile number found in Metrobank’s database
    c. In the Joined Promos section, click check progress under “Choose PayNow” tab and enter the registered mobile number.
    d. Click the "Claim" button then click "Use This" button to get your Universal eGC.

    Only the principal cardholder can access the self-help tracker which will be updated within 7 to 10 banking days after the transaction has been made.

  • Change in Mobile Number: If a cardholder changes and/or updates his or her mobile number after successful registration, it is the responsibility of the cardholder to inform Metrobank by calling our Metrobank Customer Service Hotline at (02) 88-700-700 that he or she changes and/or updates his or her mobile number and would like to register the new mobile number. The same applies for new cardholders that have activated their credit card for the first time within the promo period.

  • Availability of the eGC and Posting of the Transaction in the Website: Metrobank under MCC sender will send the SMS eGC notification for the qualified transaction starting January 31, 2024 and will be updated within 7 to 10 banking days after the transaction has been posted and verified in the Metrobank system.

  • Other Details: Promo period is from January 15 to March 16, 2024. Redemption period is from January 15 to May 15, 2024.


  1. The Promotion is open to pre-selected Metrobank Peso Mastercard / Visa, Metrobank Vantage Mastercard / Visa, M Free Mastercard, Titanium Mastercard, Platinum Mastercard, World Mastercard, , PSBank Credit Mastercard, Toyota Mastercard, NCCC Mastercard, Rewards Plus Visa, Femme Visa, Femme Signature Visa, Cashback Platinum Visa, and Travel Platinum Visa credit cardholders in good standing. The Promotion is not applicable to ON Virtual Mastercard, Metrobank Dollar Mastercard, Corporate Mastercard, Dealer Financing, YAZZ Prepaid Visa, Metrobank Debit and Prepaid cards.

  2. The Promo period is from January 15 to March 16, 2024. Redemption period is from January 15 to May 15, 2024.

  3. Qualified principal cardholder can get an eGC when he or she sends money via PayNow for a minimum single-receipt spend using his or her Metrobank credit card. Valid for Send Money via PayNow transaction made at the Metrobank App only.

  4. A cardholder has an option to transact any of the minimum single receipt spend stated above to get the associated eGC. A customer is qualified for one (1) eGC based on the first PayNow transaction after successful registration within the promo period. If a higher minimum single-receipt spend was made prior to the earlier transactions, Metrobank will provide an eGC for the earlier transaction.

  5. To qualify for the promo, a principal cardholder must have his or her mobile number updated in Metrobank credit card’s database and is required to register in the promo using a Philippine registered mobile number. No or late registration means no eGC will be provided.

    Registration via the One Giftaway Website
    a. Visit https://metrobankcard.mymcc.gift/
    b. Log-in your mobile number found in Metrobank’s database.
    c. In the Available Promos section, click “Choose PayNow” and enter mobile to register in the promo.
    d. A successful SMS will be sent to the cardholders’ mobile number after successful registration.

    Registration via the Metrobank Website
    a. Visit Metrobank website at www.metrobank.com.ph
    b. Scroll down and click the Promos button
    c. Search for “Choose PayNow”
    d. Visit https://metrobankcard.mymcc.gift
    e. Log-in your mobile number found in Metrobank’s database.
    f. In the Available Promos section, click “Choose PayNow” and enter mobile to register in the promo.
    g. A successful SMS will be sent to the cardholders’ mobile number after successful registration.

  6. If a cardholder changes and/or updates his or her mobile number after successful registration, a cardholder will not be automatically registered in the promo. It is the responsibility of the cardholder to inform Metrobank by calling our Metrobank Customer Service Hotline at (02) 88-700-700 that he or she changes and/or updates his or her mobile number and would like to register the new mobile number. The same applies for new cardholders that have activated their credit card for the first time within the promo period.

  7. To avail of the promo, a principal cardholder must register from January 15 to March 16, 2024 and must follow the registration process stated in number 5 promo mechanics. A successful SMS will be sent to the cardholders’ mobile number after the successful registration. No confirmatory SMS means the registration is not successful. Metrobank will only acknowledge a successful registration if the principal cardholder received the successful SMS.

    Note: The metrobankcard.mymcc.gift powered by Giftaway will only ask for your mobile number and verification code sent to your mobile number. Metrobank and Giftaway will never ask for your card number, expiry date, CVV, OTP via links in e-mail, SMS or phone calls.

  8. A registered cardholder will start earning an eGC for his or her qualified transaction/s once registration is successful. Transaction/s made before the successful registration will NOT earn and qualify for an eGC. Metrobank will not accommodate request of cardholder to include and send eGCs for transactions made before successful registration.

  9. Supplementary cardholder/s is/are automatically registered once the principal cardholder has successfully registered for the promo. Transaction/s made by the supplementary cardholder/s will be included in the primary cardholder’s transaction/s.

  10. By completing cardholders’ registration, he or she agrees that his personal informational shall be subject to confidentiality, data privacy and other security terms of Metrobank’s service provider, Giftaway.

  11. A visual transaction and incentive tracker where the qualified transaction and incentive will be available to registered cardholders starting by January 31, 2024. Only the principal cardholder can access the tracker which will be updated within 7 to 10 banking days after the transaction has been posted in Metrobank system. Metrobank will no longer send token SMS with links in compliance with the BSP Memorandum No. M 2022-015.

  12. A registered and qualified customer can redeem the eGC by following the step by step below.

    How to Redeem an eGC:
    a. Visit https://metrobankcard.mymcc.gift
    b. Log-in your mobile number found in Metrobank’s database.
    c. In the Joined Promos section, click check progress under “Choose PayNow” tab and enter the registered mobile number.
    d.Click the Claim button then click Use This button to get your Universal eGC.

  13. The promo and eGC entitlement is based on a customer level. Multiple Metrobank credit cards under the same customer number will be considered as one unique cardholder. Qualified and transactions made by supplementary cardholder/s and/or other Metrobank credit card/s (if any) which share the same customer number will be combined in the number of entitled token codes.

  14. A principal cardholder is entitled to maximum of one (1) eGC per customer for the duration of the promo period. Supplementary cardholder transaction/s will be included in the computation of the maximum one (1) eGCs.

  15. The registered cardholder who reached the minimum spend will receive a qualified or confirmation SMS from Metrobank and has the option to redeem his or her incentive via Giftaway Universal eGC (such as but not limited to The SM Store, Robinsons, Puregold, Shopee, Grab, Lazada, and more) by visiting the Giftaway website or visual tracker found in the Metrobank website. The eGC for this promo is applicable to select Giftaway merchants assigned by Metrobank.

  16. Applicable delivery and other processing fees where from the stores the eGC/s will be used are not included in the eGC and should be shouldered by the cardholder. The terms and conditions relating to the use of the Giftaway Universal eGC indicated in the Giftaway platform shall apply. The Giftaway Universal eGC is transferrable to cardholders’ nominated recipient. By clicking the “Share this Button”, cardholder acknowledges that he or she consents to the sharing of the incentive to his or her nominated recipient. Validity of the original token code shall apply. Once the redemption or transfer has been made, Metrobank and Giftaway will not be liable for the incorrect entry of mobile number where the incentive was shared. It is the customer’s sole responsibility to double-check the entry upon redemption of the incentive.

  17. The registered cardholder will receive the incentive in the denomination below:

  18. The redemption period is from January 15 to May 15, 2024 or within sixty (60) calendar days after the receipt of the SMS. All redemption requests made after the redemption period or after sixty (60) calendar days will not be accommodated. All unredeemed eGC will be forfeited after the expiration date indicated in the SMS and self-help tracker.

  19. Metrobank will not accommodate request of cardholder to cancel, reverse or applied to other incentive or reward once a valid redemption is made. All redemption will be considered final. It’s the cardholder obligation to make sure that his or her preferred incentive is correct.

  20. “Qualified Transactions” includes Send Money via PayNow transactions transferred to other bank account using the Metrobank app. Send Money via PayNow transferred to cardholders own account will not earn an eGC as well as PayNow transaction made via MIA Chatbot.

  21. "Non-Qualified Transactions” includes other retail purchases at groceries, department stores, gasoline stations, restaurants, Internet, and Mail Order/Telephone Order, foreign currency transactions, etc; and 0% merchant installment and Shop Now, Pay Later transaction such as but not limited to installment purchase of appliances, jewelry, PayNow via MIA Chatbot, Bills2Pay, PayBills, Balance Transfer, Balance Conversion, Cash2Go, Cash Advance, mobile payment / mobile wallet transactions, online payment system and transactions with merchant category code of 6540 (such as but not limited to Lazada Top Up, PayMaya Add Money, Shopee Pay, GrabPay) found in Metrobank’s database are excluded from this promotion.

  22. All terms and conditions relating to the use of Universal Giftaway eGCs redemption indicated in the Giftaway redemption portal shall apply. Any dispute related to the use of the Universal Giftaway eGCs shall be coursed through the chosen merchant.

  23. The incentive cost equivalent is VALID in conjunction with any ongoing promos.

  24. Metrobank will not oblige to the cardholder’s request of extending the redemption and validity period of the token code once sixty (60) calendar days has passed. All questions and issues will only be accepted within sixty (60) calendar days after the end of the promo period or not later than May 15, 2024, after which, Metrobank will no longer entertain disputes and / or requests.

  25. PayNow service is intended for purchase of goods and services. Fund transfers to one’s own account is not allowed under Section 8 (Cardholder Responsibility) herein.

  26. PayNow money transfers are subject to a total maximum daily limit amount of PHP 50,000 within the prescribed cut-off per credit card account, and a maximum of PHP 100,000 for the last fifteen (15) calendar days. The limits on transaction amounts may be revised upon Metrobank’s discretion subject to reasonable notice.

  27. The cardholder is required to enter the 6-digit Passcode and One-Time Password (OTP) sent to his/her registered mobile number to proceed with the transaction using PayNow send money transactions via the Metrobank App.

  28. The cardholder is responsible for the OTP provided as part of the service authentication and verification process once entered in the PayNow service. Metrobank will NEVER ask the cardholder to share the OTP for his/her PayNow send money transaction with ANYONE. Only the cardholder should encode it using authorized Metrobank channels to confirm PayNow send money transactions.

    NOTE: NEVER SHARE THE ONE-TIME PASSWORD (OTP) TO ANYONE.

  29. When using the PayNow Service to make fund transfers or payments, the cardholder is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all nominated beneficiary bank or e-wallet account names, numbers and amounts contained in his/her instructions. Metrobank will not be responsible for any errors or any resulting loss or damage incurred by the cardholder due to his/her incorrect entry of the nominated account’s information. Metrobank does not carry out any independent verification on the nominated beneficiary account and its information.

  30. Metrobank shall not be obliged to carry out any PayNow transaction and may reject any PayNow transaction made on the designated credit card at its discretion. The cardholder is not allowed to use the PayNow services to make payments in respect of (a) any loan/debt repayment such as, but not limited to, credit card payments, mortgage repayments and loan payments; (b) any cryptocurrency related transactions; (c) unacceptable transactions, such as gambling transactions or transactions whose cause, object or purpose is contrary to law, morals, good customs, public order or public policy; (d) transactions which are not for personal purposes or use; or (e) such other transactions that Metrobank may determine based on its discretion.

  31. Unless for confirmed cases of fraud or unauthorized transactions without the participation, fault, negligence or acquiescence of the cardholder, the cardholder accepts and agrees that no refunds, reversals or cancellation of PayNow transaction amounts or processing fees are permitted once charged to the designated credit card account.

  32. A cardholder and transaction/s will be disqualified from the promo if his or her Metrobank credit card becomes past due, delinquent, suspended, cancelled or terminated before the release of the eGCs. If the cardholder does not pay for his or her balances because of his or her concern/s Metrobank will not be liable on the accrued charges to his or her account.

  33. Metrobank reserves the right to disqualify a previously approved transaction that was cancelled or charged back within the promo period. Should the cardholder receive the incentive but was later on deemed unqualified for not meeting the requirements of the promo due to disputes arising from erroneous, invalid, fraudulent or unauthorized transactions, the cost of the eGCs shall be charged by Metrobank to the cardholder’s credit card account.

  34. All questions regarding the cardholder’s eligibility to this promo shall be resolved by Metrobank, with the concurrence of DTI.

  35. The use of Metrobank credit card in connection with this promo is subject to the Terms and Conditions governing the issuance and use of Metrobank credit cards and PayNow service.

  36. By joining or availing of this promo, the cardholder confirms that he/she has read, understood and agreed to the promo mechanics and its terms and conditions.
