What are the mechanics

Registration: Register at mbcpc.co/cashbackanywhere and enter your Metrobank-registered mobile number. The principal cardholder will receive an SMS, Viber message or e-mail containing the instructions on how to join the promo. Transaction/s made before successful registration will NOT be qualified for the promo. Registration period is from July 15 to August 31, 2023.

Redemption of guaranteed cashback: Cardholder can track his/her cashback for claiming at mbcpc.co/redeem beginning July 28, 2023. All qualified transaction/s will be posted on the tracker within five (5) banking days after the qualified transaction has been made. Customer shall receive an SMS notification after a successful transaction that merits a cashback has been posted and is ready for redemption. Redemption period for the guaranteed cashback is from July 28 to October 30, 2023. A principal cardholder is entitled to up to ten (10) guaranteed cashback for the duration of the promo period per unique Metrobank customer.

Earning of raffle entries: Cardholder can track his/her earned raffle entries at mbcpc.co/redeem beginning July 28, 2023. All qualified transaction/s will be posted on the tracker within five (5) banking days after the qualified transaction has been made.


  1. The promo is open to all Metrobank Peso Mastercard / Visa, Metrobank Vantage Mastercard / Visa, M Free Mastercard, ON Virtual Mastercard, Titanium Mastercard, Platinum Mastercard, Dollar Mastercard, World Mastercard, PSBank Credit Mastercard, NCCC Mastercard, Toyota Mastercard, Robinsons Mastercard, Rewards Plus Visa, Femme Visa, Femme Signature Visa, Cashback Platinum Visa, and Travel Platinum Visa cardholders in good credit standing only. The promo is not applicable to Corporate Mastercard, Dealer Financing, Metrobank Debit and Prepaid Cards.

  2. Promo and registration period is from July 15 to August 31, 2023 only.

  3. Qualified cardholders who reach the minimum single-receipt transaction spend as specified below shall be qualified for the guaranteed cashback and raffle.

  4. To qualify for the promo, a principal cardholder must have his or her mobile number and contact details (e-mail address, home address, etc.) updated in Metrobank credit card’s database and is required to register for the promo. Should there be any changes in the mobile number or contact details within the promo period, it is the responsibility of the cardholder to update his or her contact information in Metrobank’s database by calling the Metrobank Customer Service Hotline at (02) 88-700-700 and to request for manual registration to the promo. The same applies for new cardholders that have activated their credit card for the first time within the promo period.

  5. The principal cardholder must register for the promo by visiting the registration page found in the Metrobank website from July 15 to August 31, 2023 and entering his/her Metrobank-registered mobile number. An SMS confirming successful registration will be sent to the cardholders’ mobile number. Transaction/s made before successful registration will NOT qualify for the promo. The time of the successful registration shall be based on the time the notification SMS was received by the principal cardholder.

  6. As a reminder, the registration page will only ask for the cardholder’s mobile number and the verification code sent to your mobile number. Metrobank and Giftaway will never ask for the card number, expiry date, CVV, OTP or other card details via links or web pages found in e-mail, SMS or phone calls.

  7. Supplementary cardholders are automatically registered once the principal cardholder has successfully registered for the promo. Transaction/s made by the supplementary cardholder/s will be included in the principal cardholder’s transaction/s.

  8. By completing the registration, the cardholder agrees that his/her personal data shall be shared to Metrobank’s service provider, Giftaway, and shall be subject to confidentiality, data privacy and other terms and conditions of Giftaway.

  9. A visual transaction and incentive tracker (mbcpc.co/redeem) where all qualified and posted transactions/s, cashback transactions and raffle entries will be available to registered cardholders starting July 28, 2023. Only the principal cardholder can access the tracker once set-up in the Giftaway portal. Prior transactions will be shown upon the tracker set-up date, while transactions made subsequent to the tracker set-up date will be reflected within five (5) banking days after the qualified transaction has been made.

  10. Within five (5) banking days after reaching the minimum single-receipt transaction spend, the principal cardholder will receive instructions via SMS with a token code to visit the redemption website and redeem the guaranteed cashback. Cashbacks must be redeemed within sixty (60) calendar days from the end of the promo period (on or before October 30, 2023). The redemption period is from July 28 to October 30, 2023. All redemption requests made after the redemption period will not be accommodated. All unredeemed cashback token code shall be forfeited upon the expiration of the redemption period. Metrobank will not accommodate any request from cardholders to extend the validity of the token code once the redemption period has passed.

  11. A principal cardholder is entitled to up to ten (10) guaranteed cashbacks for the duration of the promo period per unique Metrobank customer. Supplementary cardholder transaction/s will be included in the computation of the 10 availments that the principal cardholder may be entitled to.

  12. Once the principal cardholder has redeemed the maximum ten guaranteed cashbacks, redemptions are deemed final and he/she will no longer be qualified to receive another guaranteed cashback, even if qualified.

  13. The cashbacks earned are non-transferrable and non-convertible to cash.

  14. The computation of the cashback availments and raffle entries will be based on a customer level.

  15. The cashback will be credited to the cardholder’s Metrobank credit card based on the following schedule:

  17. Metrobank will not accommodate cardholder requests to re-send the token code/s due to reasons such as, but not limited to, the following:

    a. Code/s was/were sent successfully to the principal cardholder, but accidentally deleted by the cardholder, members of his/her family or friends due to any upgrading or reformatting done to the cardholder’s mobile device.

    b. Lost, stolen, or defective mobile device; or

    c. Code/s was/were sent successfully to the principal cardholder’s registered mobile number maintained in Metrobank’s database during the promo and redemption period, but the cardholder changed his/her mobile number without updating Metrobank.

  18. Deadline for earning of raffle entries is on 11:59 p.m. August 31, 2023. The time stamp on Metrobank’s platform will be the basis for the timing of the qualified transactions.

  19. Raffle entries earned within the promo period will be electronically generated and will automatically be included in the raffle draw. There is no cap for the amount of raffle entries a cardholder can earn.

  20. The electronic raffle draw will take place on September 14, 2023 and will virtually be held in the presence of representatives from DTI and Metrobank.

  21. Qualified cardholders may only win once for the raffle.

  22. Winners will be notified via registered mail, e-mail and/or call-out by Metrobank.

  23. Upon verification of the winners, awarding of the cashback raffle prize will be credited to the qualified cardholder’s account on November 20, 2023.

  24. For straight transactions, principal cardholders are eligible for the guaranteed cashback and the raffle entry in a single transaction provided that the minimum spend requirements are met.

  25. By participating in this raffle, all participants and winner(s) grant Metrobank exclusive permission to use and disclose personal information including photographs and videos in connection with this promo for marketing purposes and waive any claims to royalty, right, or remuneration for such use on TV, Radio, Metrobank’s websites, or Metrobank’s social media pages.

  26. Employees of Metrobank including relatives up to the second degree of consanguinity are disqualified to join the raffle.

  27. “Qualified Transactions” include all retail straight transactions such as purchases at groceries, department stores, gasoline stations, restaurants, Internet, and Mail Order/Telephone Order, foreign currency transactions, as well as PayNow, Bills2Pay, Balance Transfer, Cash Advance and Cash2Go transactions. PayNow transactions that involve money transfers to a cardholder’s own account shall not be included.

  28. “Non-qualified Transactions” such as merchant installment transactions, Balance Conversions, mobile payments / mobile wallet transactions, online payment system and transactions with merchant category code of 6540 (such as but not limited to Lazada Top Up, PayMaya Add Money, Shopee Pay, GrabPay) found in Metrobank’s database are excluded from this promo as well as PayNow, Bills2Pay, Balance Transfer, Cash2Go and Cash advance transactions which are not qualified for the guaranteed cashback.

  29. The promo may not be availed in conjunction with other ongoing promos, unless otherwise stated.

  30. Metrobank will not accommodate cardholders’ requests of extending the redemption and validity period of the token code once the redemption period has passed. All disputes will only be accepted until sixty (60) calendar days after the end of the promo period or not later than October 30.

  31. A cardholder will be disqualified from the promo if his or her Metrobank credit card becomes delinquent, suspended, cancelled or terminated before the release of the cashback. Any question or dispute related to cardholder’s availment of any promo shall not be a valid reason for non-payment by the cardholder of his/her credit card bill or outstanding balance. Metrobank will not be liable for any accrued charges to cardholder’s account.

  32. Metrobank reserves the right to disqualify a previously approved transaction that was cancelled or charged back within the promo period. Should the cardholder receive the cashback, but was later on deemed unqualified for not meeting the requirements of the promo due to disputes arising from erroneous, invalid, fraudulent or unauthorized transactions, the cost of the cashback shall be charged by Metrobank to the cardholder’s credit card account.

  33. All questions regarding the cardholder’s eligibility for this promo shall be resolved by Metrobank, with the concurrence of DTI.

  34. All terms and conditions relating to the use of registration and redemption portal indicated in the Giftaway platform shall apply.

  35. The use of the Metrobank credit card in connection with this promo is subject to the terms and conditions governing the issuance and use of Metrobank credit cards.

  36. By joining or availing of this promo, the cardholder confirms that he/she has read, understood and agreed to the promo mechanics and its terms and conditions.
