Promo Mechanics

  • Registration: The principal cardholder will receive an SMS, Viber message or email blast containing the registration process at the start of the promo period. Once the SMS is received, a cardholder must register by:

    a. Visiting metrobankcard.mymcc.gift.
    b. Log-in your mobile number found in Metrobank’s database.
    c. In the Available Promos section, click “Big Travel Bonus” and enter mobile to register in the promo.
    d. A successful SMS will be sent to the cardholders’ mobile number after successful registration.

  • Qualified Transactions: Includes all card present and card not present transactions made international or overseas.

  • Computation of Accumulated Spend: Multiple Metrobank credit cards under the same customer number will be considered as one unique cardholder. Qualified and posted transaction transactions made by supplementary cardholder/s and/or other Metobank credit card/s (if any) which share the same customer number will be combined in computing the total minimum accumulated spend. A cardholder will only qualify for one (1) incentive throughout the promo period regardless if the accumulated spend exceeds the spend tier.

  • Redemption of Token Code:

    a. Visit metrobankcard.mymcc.gift
    b. Log-in your mobile number found in Metrobank’s database
    c. In the Joined Promos section, click check progress under “Big Travel Bonus” tab and enter the registered mobile number.
    d. Click Claim and choose Metrobank Cash Rebate

    Only the principal cardholder can access the self-help tracker which will be updated within 7 to 10 banking days after the transaction has been posted in the Metrobank system.

  • Change in Mobile Number: If a cardholder changes and/or updates his or her mobile number after successful registration, it is the responsibility of the cardholder to inform Metrobank by calling our Metrobank Customer Service Hotline at (02) 88-700-700 that he or she changes and/or updates his or her mobile number and would like to register the new mobile number. The same applies for new cardholders that have activated their credit card for the first time within the promo period.

  • Other Details: Promo period is from November 15, 2023 to January 15, 2024. Redemption period is from November 15, 2023 to March 5, 2024.

  • Availability of the Token Code in the Website: Metrobank under MCC sender will send the SMS token code notification for the qualified transaction starting November 24, 2023 and will be updated within 7 to 10 banking days after the transaction has been posted in the Metrobank system.


  1. The Promotion is open to all Metrobank Peso Mastercard / Visa, Metrobank Vantage Mastercard / Visa, M Free Mastercard, Titanium Mastercard, Platinum Mastercard, World Mastercard, ON Virtual Mastercard, PSBank Credit Mastercard, Toyota Mastercard, NCCC Mastercard, Rewards Plus Visa, Femme Visa, Femme Signature Visa, Cashback Platinum Visa, and Travel Platinum Visa credit cardholders in good standing. The Promotion is not applicable to Metrobank Dollar Mastercard, Corporate Mastercard, Dealer Financing, YAZZ Prepaid Visa, Metrobank Debit and Prepaid cards.

  2. The promo period is from November 15, 2023 to January 15, 2024. Redemption period is from November 15, 2023 to March 5, 2024.

  3. Qualified principal cardholder can get up to PHP 10,000 cash rebate when he or she uses his or her Metrobank credit card/s for all his or her international (card present or card not present) transactions.

  4. To qualify for the promo, a principal cardholder must have his or her mobile number updated in Metrobank credit card’s database and is required to register by:

    c. In the Available Promos section, click “Big Travel Bonus” and enter mobile to register in the promo.
    d. A successful SMS will be sent to the cardholders’ mobile number after successful registration.

    a. Visit Metrobank website at metrobank.com.ph
    b. Scroll down to Featured Promotions
    c. Swipe through and click View More
    d. Search “PHP 10,000 cash rebate on international transactions””
    e. Visit metrobankcard.mymcc.gift
    f. Log-in your mobile number found in Metrobank’s database
    g. In the Available Promos section, click “Big Travel Bonus” and enter mobile to register in the promo
    h. A successful SMS will be sent to the cardholders’ mobile number after successful registration

    Should there be any changes in the mobile number or contact details within the promo period, it is the responsibility of the cardholder to update his or her contact information in Metrobank credit card’s database by calling our Metrobank Customer Service Hotline at (02) 88-700-700. A registered customer will not be automatically registered in the promo if he or she changes or updates his or her mobile number.

  5. If a cardholder changes and/or updates his or her mobile number after successful registration, a cardholder will not be automatically registered in the promo. It is the responsibility of the cardholder to inform Metrobank by calling our Metrobank Customer Service Hotline at (02) 88-700-700 that he or she changes and/or updates his or her mobile number and would like to register the new mobile number. The same applies for new cardholders that have activated their credit card for the first time within the promo period.

  6. To avail of the promo, a principal cardholder must register from November 15, 2023 to January 15, 2024 and must follow the registration process stated in number 4 promo mechanics. Transaction/s made before the successful registration as long as it’s within the promo period and within the qualified transactions will be included in computing the total accumulated spend of the cardholder.

    Note: The metrobankcard.mymcc.gift powered by Giftaway will only ask for your mobile number and verification code sent to your mobile number. Metrobank and Giftaway will never ask for your card number, expiry date, CVV, OTP via links in e-mail, SMS or phone calls.

  7. Supplementary cardholder/s is/are automatically registered once the principal cardholder has successfully registered for the promo. Transaction/s made by the supplementary cardholder/s will be included in the primary cardholder’s transaction/s.

  8. By completing cardholders’ registration, he or she agrees that his personal informational shall be subject to confidentiality, data privacy and other security terms of Metrobank’s service provider, Giftaway.

  9. A visual transaction and incentive tracker where all qualified transaction and incentive will be available to registered cardholders starting by November 24, 2023. Only the principal cardholder can access the tracker which will be updated within 8 to 10 banking days after the transaction has been posted in Metrobank system. Metrobank will no longer send token SMS with links in compliance with the BSP Memorandum No. M-2022-015.

  10. Multiple Metrobank credit cards under the same customer number will be considered as one unique cardholder. Qualified and posted transactions made by supplementary cardholder/s and/or other Metrobank credit card/s (if any) which share the same customer number will be combined in computing for the total minimum accumulated spend. A cardholder will only qualify for one (1) incentive throughout the promo period regardless if accumulated spend exceeds the spend tier.

  11. The computation of the accumulated spend will be considered on a customer level.

  12. Once the cardholder reached the first tier of the accumulated spend, the cardholder will receive an SMS on how to claim the cash rebate and has the option to claim it for first tier OR disregard the SMS and accumulate for higher tier to receive higher incentive. If the cardholder redeems the incentive for first tier, a cardholder can NO LONGER qualify for higher tier. A cardholder is only allowed to qualify for one (1) incentive and redeem once throughout the duration of the promo period.

  13. In the Giftaway website or visual tracker, a cardholder must click the "Use This" button within sixty (60) calendar days after the receipt of the confirmation or qualified SMS to get the cash rebate eGift posted in the website. The redemption period is from November 15, 2023 to March 5, 2024. All unredeemed token code will be forfeited after the expiration date indicated in the website. Metrobank will not accommodate request of cardholder to extend the validity of the token code once the sixty (60) calendar days has passed.

  14. The registered and qualified cardholder who reached the minimum accumulated spend by using his or her credit card will receive a qualified or confirmation SMS from Metrobank and may redeem the Metrobank Cash Rebate by following the How to Redeem instruction in the Promo Highlight. The cash rebate will be credited to the primary cardholders’ account with the highest overseas spend within 60 calendar days after the end of the redemption period.

  15. The cash rebate earned under this promo will be reflected in the cardholder’s’ Statement of Account with the transaction description: 2023 Q4 Big Travel Bonus

  16. Metrobank will not accommodate request of cardholder to cancel, reverse or applied to other incentive or reward once a valid redemption is made. All redemption will be considered final.

  17. “Qualified Transactions” Includes all card present and card not present transactions made international or overseas.

  18. “Non-Qualified Transactions” includes all local retail purchases at groceries, department stores, gasoline stations, restaurants, Internet, and Mail Order/Telephone Order, foreign currency transactions, merchant installment such as 0% installment, Shop Now, Pay Later, reduced rates, regular rates, Bills2Pay, Balance Transfer, Balance Conversion, Cash2Go, Cash Advance, mobile payment / mobile wallet transactions, online payment system and transactions with merchant category code of 6540 (such as but not limited to Lazada Top Up, PayMaya Add Money, Shopee Pay, GrabPay) found in Metrobank’s database are excluded from this promotion.

  19. All terms and conditions relating to the use of the Giftaway eGC redemption indicated in the Giftaway redemption portal shall apply.

  20. The incentive cost equivalent is valid in conjunction with any ongoing promos.

  21. Metrobank will not oblige to the cardholder’s request of extending the redemption and validity period of the token code once sixty (60) calendar days has passed. All questions and issues will only be accepted within sixty (60) calendar days after the end of the promo period or not later than March 5, 2024 after which, Metrobank will no longer entertain disputes and / or requests.

  22. A cardholder and transaction/s will be disqualified from the promo if his or her Metrobank credit card becomes past due, delinquent, suspended, cancelled or terminated before the release of the token code. If the cardholder does not pay for his or her balances because of his or her concern/s, Metrobank will not be liable on the accrued charges to his or her account.

  23. Metrobank reserves the right to disqualify a previously approved transaction that was cancelled or charged back within the promo period. Should the cardholder receive the incentive but was later on deemed unqualified for not meeting the requirements of the promo due to disputes arising from erroneous, invalid, fraudulent or unauthorized transactions, the cost of the token code shall be charged by Metrobank to the cardholder’s credit card account.

  24. All questions regarding the cardholder’s eligibility to this promo shall be resolved by Metrobank, with the concurrence of DTI.

  25. The use of Metrobank credit card in connection with this promo is subject to the Terms and Conditions governing the issuance and use of Metrobank credit cards.

  26. By joining or availing of this promo, the cardholder confirms that he/she has read, understood and agreed to the promo mechanics and its terms and conditions.
