Promo Mechanics

  • Registration: The principal cardholder will receive an SMS, Viber message or e-mail blast containing the registration process at the start of the promo period. Once the SMS is received, a cardholder must register by:

    a. Visiting metrobankcard.mymcc.gift
    b. Log-in your mobile number found in Metrobank’s database
    c. In the Available Promos section, click “Big Travel Bonus” and enter mobile to register in the promo.
    d. A successful SMS will be sent to the cardholders’ mobile number after successful registration.

  • Qualified Transactions: Includes travel-related categories such as airlines, air carriers, lodging hotels, motels, resorts, airports, travel agencies, cruise lines with Merchant Category Code (MCC) stated below and overseas or international spend made card present or online.

    Travel-related categories:

  • Computation of Accumulated Spend: Multiple Metrobank Visa Credit Cards under the same customer number will be considered as one unique cardholder. Qualified and posted transaction transactions made by supplementary cardholder/s and/or other Metobank Visa Credit Card/s (if any) which share the same customer number will be combined in computing the total minimum accumulated spend. A cardholder will only qualify for one (1) incentive throughout the promo period regardless if the accumulated spend exceeds the spend tier.

  • Redemption of Token Code:

    a. Visit metrobankcard.mymc.gift
    b. Log-in your mobile number found in Metrobank’s database
    c. In the Joined Promos section, click check progress under “Up to PHP 3,000 worth of gifts” tab and enter the registered mobile number.
    d. Click Claim and choose Universal token code
    e. To get the token code, click Use This button to get the token code

    Only the principal cardholder can access the self-help tracker which will be updated within 7 to 10 banking days after the transaction has been posted in the Metrobank system.

  • Change in Mobile Number: If a cardholder changes and/or updates his or her mobile number after successful registration, it is the responsibility of the cardholder to inform Metrobank by calling our Metrobank Customer Service Hotline at (02) 88-700-700 that he or she changes and/or updates his or her mobile number and would like to register the new mobile number. The same applies for new cardholders that have activated their credit card for the first time within the promo period.

  • Other Details: Promo period is from November 15, 2022 to January 14, 2023. Redemption period is from November 15, 2022 to March 15, 2023.

  • Availability of the Token Code in the Website: Metrobank under MCC sender will send the SMS token code notification for the qualified transaction starting November 30, 2022 and will be updated within 7 to 10 banking days after the transaction has been posted in the Metrobank system.


  1. The Promotion is open to all Metrobank Peso Visa, Metrobank Vantage Visa, Rewards Plus Visa, Femme Visa, Femme Signature Visa, Cashback Platinum Visa, and Travel Platinum Visa. The Promotion is not applicable to Metrobank Peso Mastercard, Metrobank Vantage Visa, M Mastercard, Titanium Mastercard, Platinum Mastercard, World Mastercard, PSBank Credit Mastercard, Toyota Mastercard, NCCC Mastercard, Metrobank Dollar Mastercard, ON Virtual Mastercard, Corporate Mastercard, Dealer Financing, YAZZ Prepaid Visa, Metrobank Debit and Prepaid cards.

  2. The promo period is from November 15, 2022 to January 14, 2023.

  3. Qualified principal cardholder can get up to PHP 3,000 gifts when he or she uses his or her Metrobank Visa credit card/s for all your travel-related and international transactions.

  4. To qualify for the promo, a principal cardholder must have his or her mobile number updated in Metrobank credit card’s database and is required to register by:

    a. Visiting metrobankcard.mymcc.gift
    b. Log-in your mobile number found in Metrobank’s database
    c. In the Available Promos section, click “Up to PHP 3,000 worth of gifts” and enter mobile to register in the promo.
    d. A successful SMS will be sent to the cardholders’ mobile number after successful registration.

    Registration via the Metrobank Website
    a. Visit Metrobank website at www.metrobank.com.ph
    b. Scroll down to Featured Promotions
    c. Swipe through and click View More
    d. Search “Up to PHP 3,000 worth of gifts”
    e. Visit metrobankcard.mymcc.gift
    f. Log-in your mobile number found in Metrobank’s database
    g. In the Available Promos section, click “Big Travel Bonus” and enter mobile to register in the promo
    h. A successful SMS will be sent to the cardholders’ mobile number after successful registration

    Register via the MIA of FB Messenger
    a. Chat MIA of Metrobank Card via FB Messenger
    b. Go to Credit Card Promos
    c. Click View Promos and Search “Up to PHP 3,000 worth of gifts”
    d. Visit metrobankcard.mymcc.gift
    e. Log-in your mobile number found in Metrobank’s database
    f. In the Available Promos section, click “Big Travel Bonus” and enter mobile to register in the promo.

    Should there be any changes in the mobile number or contact details within the promo period, it is the responsibility of the cardholder to update his or her contact information in Metrobank credit card’s database by calling our Metrobank Customer Service Hotline at (02) 88-700-700. A registered customer will not be automatically registered in the promo if he or she changes or updates his or her mobile number.

  5. If a cardholder changes and/or updates his or her mobile number after successful registration, a cardholder will not be automatically registered in the promo. It is the responsibility of the cardholder to inform Metrobank by calling our Metrobank Customer Service Hotline at (02) 88-700-700 that he or she changes and/or updates his or her mobile number and would like to register the new mobile number. The same applies for new cardholders that have activated their credit card for the first time within the promo period.

  6. To avail of the promo, a principal cardholder must register within from November 15, 2022 to January 14, 2023 and must follow the registration process stated in number 5 promo mechanics. Transaction/s made before the successful registration as long as it’s within the promo period will be included in computing the total accumulated spend of the cardholder.

    Note: The metrobankcard.mymcc.gift powered by Giftaway will only ask for your mobile number and verification code sent to your mobile number. Metrobank and Giftaway will never ask for your card number, expiry date, CVV, OTP via links in email, SMS or phone calls.

  7. Supplementary cardholder/s is/are automatically registered once the principal cardholder has successfully registered for the promo. Transaction/s made by the supplementary cardholder/s will be included in the primary cardholder’s transaction/s.

  8. By completing cardholders’ registration, he or she agrees that his personal informational shall be subject to confidentiality, data privacy and other security terms of Metrobank’s service provider, Giftaway.

  9. A visual transaction and incentive tracker where all qualified transaction and incentive will be available to registered cardholders starting by November 30, 2022. Only the principal cardholder can access the tracker which will be updated within 8 to 10 banking days after the transaction has been posted in Metrobank system. Metrobank will no longer send token SMS with links in compliance with the BSP Memorandum No. M-2022-015.

  10. Multiple Metrobank Visa Credit Cards under the same customer number will be considered as one unique cardholder. Qualified and posted transactions made by supplementary cardholder/s and/or other Metrobank Visa credit Card/s (if any) which share the same customer number will be combined in computing for the total minimum accumulated spend. A cardholder will only qualify for one (1) incentive throughout the promo period regardless if accumulated spend exceeds the spend tier.

  11. The computation of the accumulated spend will be considered on a customer level.

  12. Once the cardholder reached the first tier of the accumulated spend, the cardholder will receive an SMS on how to claim the token code and has the option to claim the token code for first tier OR disregard the SMS and accumulate for higher tier to receive higher incentive. If the cardholder redeems the incentive for first tier, a cardholder can NO LONGER qualify for higher tier. A cardholder is only allowed to qualify for one (1) incentive and redeem once throughout the duration of the promo period.

  13. In the Giftaway website or visual tracker, a cardholder must click the Use This button within sixty (60) calendar days after the receipt of the confirmation or qualified SMS to get the token code posted in the website. The redemption period is from November 15, 2022 to March 15, 2023. All unredeemed token code will be forfeited after the expiration date indicated in the website. Metrobank will not accommodate request of cardholder to extend the validity of the token code once the sixty (60) calendar days has passed.

  14. Metrobank will no longer accommodate request of the cardholder in re-sending requests for token codes such as, but not limited to the following reasons:

    • Token code sent successfully to the principal cardholder but was accidentally deleted by the cardholder, members of their family or friends due to upgrade or reformatting done to the cardholder’s mobile device.
    • Due to loss, stolen or defective mobile device;
    • Token code sent successfully to the principal cardholder’s registered old mobile number maintained in Metrobank credit card’s database during the promo and redemption period but cardholder change or updates his or her mobile number.
  15. The registered cardholder who reached the minimum accumulated spend of PHP 100,000 or PHP 300,000 by using his or her Metrobank Visa Credit Card will receive a qualified or confirmation SMS from Metrobank and may redeem his or her incentive via Giftaway token code by following the How to Redeem Token Code instruction in Promo Highlight. The token code for this promo is applicable to select Giftaway merchants assigned by Metrobank. Applicable delivery and other processing fees where from the stores the token codes will be used are not included in the token codes and should be shouldered by the cardholder. The terms and conditions relating to the use of the Giftaway token code indicated in the Giftaway platform shall apply. The token code is transferrable to cardholders’ nominated recipient. By clicking the “Share this Button”, cardholder acknowledges that he or she consents to the sharing of the incentive to his or her nominated recipient. Validity of the original token code shall apply. Once the redemption or transfer has been made, Metrobank and Giftaway will not be liable for the incorrect entry of mobile number where the incentive was shared. It is the customer’s sole responsibility to double-check the entry upon redemption of the incentive.

  16. The registered cardholder will receive the incentive in the denomination below:

  17. Metrobank will not accommodate request of cardholder to cancel, reverse or applied to other incentive or reward once a valid redemption is made. All redemption will be considered final. It’s the cardholder obligation to make sure that his or her preferred incentive is correct.

  18. “Qualified Transactions” includes travel-related categories such as airlines, air carriers, lodging hotels, motels, resorts, airports, travel agencies, cruise lines with MCC stated below and overseas or international spend made card present or online.

    Travel-related categories:

  19. “Non-Qualified Transactions” includes all local retail purchases at groceries, department stores, gasoline stations, restaurants, Internet, and Mail Order/Telephone Order, foreign currency transactions, merchant installment such as 0% installment, Shop Now, Pay Later, reduced rates, regular rates, Bills2Pay, Balance Transfer, Balance Conversion, Cash2Go, Cash Advance, mobile payment / mobile wallet transactions, online payment system and transactions with merchant category code of 6540 (such as but not limited to Lazada Top Up, PayMaya Add Money, Shopee Pay, GrabPay) found in Metrobank’s database are excluded from this promotion.

  20. All terms and conditions relating to the use of the Giftaway token code redemption indicated in the Giftaway redemption portal shall apply.

  21. The incentive cost equivalent is valid in conjunction with any ongoing promos.

  22. Metrobank will not oblige to the cardholder’s request of extending the redemption and validity period of the token code once sixty (60) calendar days has passed. All questions and issues will only be accepted within sixty (60) calendar days after the end of the promo period or not later than March 15, 2023 after which, Metrobank will no longer entertain disputes and / or requests.

  23. A cardholder and transaction/s will be disqualified from the promo if his or her Metrobank Visa Credit Card becomes past due, delinquent, suspended, cancelled or terminated before the release of the token code. If the cardholder does not pay for his or her balances because of his or her concern/s, Metrobank will not be liable on the accrued charges to his or her account.

  24. Metrobank reserves the right to disqualify a previously approved transaction that was cancelled or charged back within the promo period. Should the cardholder receive the incentive but was later on deemed unqualified for not meeting the requirements of the promo due to disputes arising from erroneous, invalid, fraudulent or unauthorized transactions, the cost of the token code shall be charged by Metrobank to the cardholder’s credit card account.

  25. All questions regarding the cardholder’s eligibility to this promo shall be resolved by Metrobank, with the concurrence of DTI.

  26. The use of Metrobank credit card in connection with this promo is subject to the Terms and Conditions governing the issuance and use of Metrobank credit cards.
