Promo Mechanics

  • Registration: The principal cardholder will receive an SMS, Viber message or e-mail blast containing the registration process at the start of the promo period. Once received, the principal cardholder must register by:

    a. Visit metrobankcard.mymcc.gift
    b. Log-in your mobile number found in Metrobank’s database.
    c. In the Available Promos section, click “AddGifts2Cart: GrabFood or FoodPanda” and enter mobile to register in the promo.
    d. A successful SMS will be sent to the cardholders’ mobile number after successful registration

  • Qualified Transactions: Includes all transactions made at GrabFood or FoodPanda with corresponding merchant description and merchant category codes:

  • Number of eGC: Multiple Metrobank Credit Cards under the same customer number will be considered as one unique cardholder. Qualified and posted transaction transactions made by supplementary cardholder/s and/or other Metobank Credit Card/s (if any) which share the same customer number will be combined. A cardholder will only qualify for one (1) eGC throughout the promo period regardless if the customer uses his or her Metrobank credit card in the said merchants more than what is required.

  • Redemption of Token Code:

    a. Visit metrobankcard.mymcc.gift
    b. Log-in your mobile number found in Metrobank’s database.
    c. In the Joined Promos section, click check progress under “AddGifts2Cart: GrabFood or FoodPanda” tab and enter the registered mobile number.
    d. Click "Claim" and choose "Universal eGC".
    e. To get the token code, click "Use This" button to get the eGC.

    Only the principal cardholder can access the self-help tracker which will be updated within 7 to 10 banking days after the transaction has been posted in the Metrobank system.

  • Change in Mobile Number: If a cardholder changes and/or updates his or her mobile number after successful registration, it is the responsibility of the cardholder to inform Metrobank by calling our Metrobank Customer Service Hotline at (02) 88-700-700 that he or she changed and/or updated his or her mobile number and would like to register the new mobile number. The same applies for new cardholders that have activated their credit card for the first time within the promo period.

  • Number of eGC Per Customer: A principal cardholder is entitled to one (1) eGC for the duration of the promo period per unique Metrobank credit card customer. Supplementary cardholder transaction/s will be included in the computation of one (1) eGC. Awarding of the eGC is on a customer level.

  • Other Details: Promo period is from September 1 to October 31, 2023. Redemption period is from September 1 to December 30, 2023.

  • Availability of the eGC in the Website: Metrobank under MCC sender will send the SMS token code notification for the qualified transaction starting September 15, 2023 and will be updated within 7 to 10 banking days after the transaction has been posted in the Metrobank system.


  1. The Promotion is exclusive to pre-selected Metrobank Peso Mastercard / Visa, Metrobank Vantage Mastercard / Visa, M Mastercard, Titanium Mastercard, Platinum Mastercard, World Mastercard, ON Virtual Mastercard, PSBank Credit Mastercard, Toyota Mastercard, NCCC Mastercard, Rewards Plus Visa, Femme Visa, Femme Signature Visa, Cashback Platinum Visa, and Travel Platinum Visa credit cardholders in good standing. The Promotion is not applicable to Metrobank Dollar Mastercard, Corporate Mastercard, Dealer Financing, YAZZ Prepaid Visa, Metrobank Debit and Prepaid cards.

  2. The promo period is from September 1 to October 31, 2023. Redemption period is from September 1 to December 30, 2023.

  3. Qualified principal cardholder can get PHP 300 when he or she uses his or her Metrobank credit card at GrabFood or FoodPanda for a minimum single-receipt spend of PHP 500.

  4. To qualify for the promo, a principal cardholder must have his or her mobile number updated in Metrobank credit card’s database and is required to register by:

    Registration via the One Giftaway Website
    a. Visit metrobankcard.mymcc.gift
    b. Log-in your mobile number found in Metrobank’s database.
    c. In the Available Promos section, click “AddGifts2Cart: GrabFood or FoodPanda” and enter mobile to register in the promo.
    d. A successful SMS will be sent to the cardholders’ mobile number after successful registration.

    Registration via the Metrobank Website
    a. Visit Metrobank website at metrobank.com.ph
    b. Scroll down and click the “Promos” button.
    c. Search “AddGifts2Cart: GrabFood or FoodPanda”.
    d. Visit metrobankcard.mymcc.gift as stated in the mechanics section.
    e. Log-in your mobile number found in Metrobank’s database.
    f. In the Available Promos section, click “AddGifts2Cart: GrabFood or FoodPanda” and enter mobile to register in the promo.
    g. A successful SMS will be sent to the cardholders’ mobile number after successful registration.

  5. If a cardholder changes and/or updates his or her mobile number after successful registration, a cardholder will not be automatically registered in the promo. It is the responsibility of the cardholder to inform Metrobank by calling our Metrobank Customer Service Hotline at (02) 88-700-700 that he or she changes and/or updates his or her mobile number and would like to register the new mobile number. The same applies for new cardholders that have activated their credit card for the first time within the promo period.

  6. To avail of the promo, a principal cardholder must register within from September 1 to October 31, 2023 and must follow the registration process stated in number 4 promo mechanics. The registered customer will start earn an eGC 1 hour after the successful registration. Transaction/s made before successful registration will NOT qualify for an eGC. Metrobank will not accommodate request of cardholder to include and send token code for transaction made before successful registration.

    Note: The metrobankcard.mymcc.gift powered by Giftaway will only ask for your mobile number and verification code sent to your mobile number. Metrobank and Giftaway will never ask for your card number, expiry date, CVV, OTP via links in email, SMS or phone calls.

  7. Supplementary cardholder/s is/are automatically registered once the principal cardholder has successfully registered for the promo. Transaction/s made by the supplementary cardholder/s will be included in the primary cardholder’s transaction/s.

  8. By completing cardholders’ registration, he or she agrees that his personal informational shall be subject to confidentiality, data privacy and other security terms of Metrobank’s service provider, Giftaway.

  9. A visual transaction and incentive tracker where all qualified transaction and incentive will be available to registered cardholders starting by September 15, 2023. Only the principal cardholder can access the tracker which will be updated within 7 to 10 banking days after the transaction has been posted in Metrobank system. Metrobank will no longer send token SMS with links in compliance with the BSP Memorandum No. M-2022-015.

  10. Multiple Metrobank Credit Cards under the same customer number will be considered as one unique cardholder. Qualified and posted transaction transactions made by supplementary cardholder/s and/or other Metobank Credit Card/s (if any) which share the same customer number will be combined. A cardholder will only qualify for one (1) eGC throughout the promo period regardless if the customer uses his or her Metrobank credit card in the said merchants more than what is required.

  11. The computation of the accumulated spend will be considered on a customer level.

  12. In the Giftaway website or visual tracker, a cardholder must click the Use This button within sixty (60) calendar days after the receipt of the confirmation or qualified SMS to get the token code posted in the website. The redemption period is from September 1 to December 30, 2023. All unredeemed token code will be forfeited after the expiration date indicated in the website. Metrobank will not accommodate request of cardholder to extend the validity of the token code once the sixty (60) calendar days has passed.

  13. The registered cardholder who reached the minimum single receipt spend by using his or her Metrobank Credit Card will receive a qualified or confirmation SMS from Metrobank and may redeem his or her incentive via Giftaway token code by following the How to Redeem Token Code instruction in Promo Highlight. The eGC for this promo is applicable to select Giftaway merchants assigned by Metrobank. Applicable delivery and other processing eGC will be used are NOT included in the total eGC cost and should be shouldered by the cardholder. The terms and conditions relating to the use of the Giftaway eGC indicated in the Giftaway platform shall apply. The eGC is transferrable to cardholders’ nominated recipient. By clicking the “Share this Button”, cardholder acknowledges that he or she consents to the sharing of the incentive to his or her nominated recipient. Validity of the original token code shall apply. Once the redemption or transfer has been made, Metrobank and Giftaway will not be liable for the incorrect entry of mobile number where the incentive was shared. It is the customer’s sole responsibility to double-check the entry upon redemption of the incentive.

  14. The registered cardholder will receive the incentive in the denomination below:

  15. Metrobank will not accommodate request of cardholder to cancel, reverse or applied to other incentive or reward once a valid redemption is made. All redemption will be considered final. It’s the cardholder obligation to make sure that his or her preferred incentive is correct.

  16. "Qualified Transactions" includes all transactions made at GrabFood or FoodPanda with corresponding merchant description and merchant category codes:

  17. “Non-Qualified Transactions” includes other retail purchases at groceries, department stores, gasoline stores, restaurants, Internet, and Mail Order/Telephone Order, foreign currency transactions, etc, 0% merchant installment, Shop Now Pay Later, PayNow or Send Money, Bills2Pay, Balance Transfer, Balance Conversion, Cash2Go, Cash Advance, mobile payment / mobile wallet transactions, online payment system and transactions with merchant category code of 6540 (such as but not limited to Lazada Top Up, PayMaya Add Money, Shopee Pay, GrabPay) found in Metrobank’s database are excluded from this promotion.

  18. All terms and conditions relating to the use of the Giftaway eGC redemption indicated in the Giftaway redemption portal shall apply.

  19. The incentive cost equivalent is valid in conjunction with any ongoing promos.

  20. Metrobank will not oblige to the cardholder’s request of extending the redemption and validity period of the token code once sixty (60) calendar days has passed. All questions and issues will only be accepted within sixty (60) calendar days after the end of the promo period or not later than December 30, 2023 after which, Metrobank will no longer entertain disputes and / or requests.

  21. A cardholder and transaction/s will be disqualified from the promo if his or her Metrobank Visa Credit Card becomes past due, delinquent, suspended, cancelled or terminated before the release of the token code. If the cardholder does not pay for his or her balances because of his or her concern/s, Metrobank will not be liable on the accrued charges to his or her account.

  22. Metrobank reserves the right to disqualify a previously approved transaction that was cancelled or charged back within the promo period. Should the cardholder receive the incentive but was later on deemed unqualified for not meeting the requirements of the promo due to disputes arising from erroneous, invalid, fraudulent or unauthorized transactions, the cost of the token code shall be charged by Metrobank to the cardholder’s credit card account.

  23. All questions regarding the cardholder’s eligibility to this promo shall be resolved by Metrobank, with the concurrence of DTI.

  24. The use of Metrobank Credit Card in connection with this promo is subject to the Terms and Conditions governing the issuance and use of Metrobank Credit Cards.
