TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR 1 MILE PER PHP 17 TRAVEL SPEND REWARDS MULTIPLIER

  • The Metrobank Travel Platinum Visa 1 Mile per PHP 17 Travel Spend Rewards Multiplier Program (“Program”) is open to all existing and newly approved Metrobank Travel Platinum Visa credit cardholders in good credit standing only (“Cardholder”). Good credit standing refers to cardholders whose accounts are not delinquent, not under investigation due to suspected fraudulent activities, those whose Metrobank credit cards are not reported lost or stolen, and those who have not, otherwise, violated any of the Terms and Conditions governing the Issuance and Use of Metrobank Credit Cards.

  • Metrobank Travel Platinum Visa Cardholders can earn one (1) Reward Point for every PHP 20 spend. In addition to this, Cardholders shall earn two (2) Rewards Points for each successful airline, hotel accommodations, and foreign currency spend using his/her qualified Metrobank Travel Platinum Visa Card. Eligible transactions refer to successful transactions on the identified categories. In total, Cardholders shall earn three (3) Rewards Points for every PHP 20 spend on eligible transactions.

  • The Rewards Points are computed on a per transaction basis. Converted Rewards Points for every eligible transaction shall be rounded down to the nearest whole number.

  • Rewards Points accumulated by both principal and supplementary cardholders shall be credited to the principal’s account every statement cycle. Rewards Points for the eligible transactions will be credited to the principal cardholder’s account within two (2) months from transaction date.

  • Airline and hotel accommodations transactions refer to purchases made at both online and in-store local and international merchants in the Philippines or outside the Philippines, which are identified by system indicators as airline and hotel accommodations transactions, and are processed by the respective merchants as such, through the Mastercard/Visa network. These indicators are defined by the relevant merchants and/or their respective acquirer and are not defined by Metrobank.

  • Foreign currency transactions refer to purchases made at both online and in-store merchants abroad or outside the Philippines, which are identified by system indicators as foreign currency transactions, and are processed by the respective merchants as such, through the Mastercard/Visa network. These indicators are defined by the relevant merchants and/or their respective acquirer and are not defined by Metrobank.

  • Rewards Points earned from this Program can be exchanged for rewards items specified in the Metrobank Card Rewards Catalogue, applied as payment for annual fees, converted to air miles or cash credits/rebates, or donated to charity by calling the Metrobank Customer Service Hotline at (02) 88-700-700 or 1-800-1888-5775 (domestic toll-free). The Rewards Points required to redeem 1 air mile is 2.5 points. With the 3 Rewards Points for every PHP 20 spend on eligible transactions, Cardholders shall earn 1 air mile for every PHP 17 spend on successful eligible transactions*. To illustrate:

    • Without the offer, 1 air mile = 2.5 points = PHP 50 spend (PHP 20 X 2.5 points)
    • With the offer, 1 air mile = 2.5 points = PHP 17 spend only* (i.e., PHP 50 / 3 points)
  • Rewards Points are only redeemable by the Cardholder if his/her account is active and remains in good credit standing. Unused Rewards Points will be forfeited after the voluntary or involuntary cancellation of his/her credit card.

  • Cardholder’s right to use the Rewards Points is non-transferable. Accumulated Rewards Points are not convertible to cash. Other than their intended use in this Program, the Rewards Points hold no other commercial or financial value. Rewards Points redeemed cannot be converted back to Rewards Points.

  • This Program is subject to the Terms and Conditions Governing the Issuance and Use of Metrobank Credit Cards and the Metrobank Credit Card Rewards Program.

  • Metrobank reserves the right to suspend, cancel or modify the Program or adjust the minimum spend for earning Rewards Points as deemed necessary with prior notice.

  • Metrobank reserves the right to disqualify a previously approved transaction subsequently cancelled or charged back. Should a cardholder receive the Rewards Points, but was later on deemed unqualified for not meeting the requirements of the Program due to disputes arising from, but not limited to, erroneous, invalid, fraudulent or unauthorized transactions, the cost of the Rewards Points shall be charged by Metrobank to the Cardholder’s credit card account.

  • Metrobank reserves the right to disqualify any Cardholder from further participation in this program if the Cardholder defaults in his payment or, if in Metrobank’s judgement, the said Cardholder defaults in his payment, or if in Metrobank’s judgement, the said Cardholder has violated these Terms and Conditions and/or the Terms and Conditions Governing the Issuance and Use of Metrobank Credit Cards, and Metrobank’s Foreign Exchange program.

  • By joining or availing of this Program, the Cardholder confirms that he/she has read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
